The Velveteen Rabbit: Facsimile of the Original 1922 Edition

I've never posted a review, never had to, I totally get that this book isnt the original, but come on guys could have made the effort of printing it right. The edges have white paper on them as though poorly printed. I mean theres not much to ask for the price you guys are offering it for, fair enough. But at least give the classic the touch it deserves. Not happy ya'll.

Over the years I've picked up a few first edition facsimiles of 20th century books. I don't kid myself that they have any collectability but they're often the nicest reasonably priced edition to have. So as one who loves The Velveteen Rabbit I thought I'd pick up the "Facsimile of the Original 1922 Edition" here on Amazon.I was extremely disappointed. The interior pages are just a sloppy scan of the original (which presumably is out of copyright). The type is faded and fuzzy, terrible. There are white strips on the edges of some of the pages where the scan is not plumb. And it's not a facsimile-looking binding, just a cheap contemporary print on demand type.So this is not really a facsimile edition. It's just a cheap knock-off derived from the original. A legit copy of the paperback is nicer and possibly cheaper.
