Excellent product
This small standard hot plate was perfect for what I needed, I am making my own candles and this melts the wax easy and cleanly, Iโve only had it a few days, it looks well made and safe to use, you can hear the thermostat click on and off when itโs reached its set temperature, so far itโs perfect for my needs.

Bought for work.
Bought this to cook my eggs on daily at work, for the money you canโt complain. Itโs small enough to take anywhere. It does take a little while to heat up but is very hot once it does. Doesnโt feel the best quality but for ยฃ15 you canโt expect top of the range. It has a lot of heat out the bottom so not sure Iโd be keen to use it on a nice surface just in case but for my needs on a building site itโs perfect.

Does exactly what itโs meant to!
Purchased to use in Motorhome whilst has job offline. Made sure the area was well ventilated for first use. Yes as other reviews say, there was some smoke and a slight smell, however after a few minutes this all cleared and I was able to warm some soup up. Ended up turning it off as it was so efficient at heating soup. I think that because the pan I was using was a small one, it made this item work more rapidly. Left in situ to allow it to cool down. Unknown what the longevity of this item will be, but it did what I needed it to do!

Maybe paying more gets you more
I liked that it turned up promptly, but when I started to fry some onions it suddenly lost heat! I replaced fuse. Turned socket on and bang the plug flew out of the socket! Luckily the breaker tripped but there was no way I was going to continue!

Quirky sound & hot metal cover
Beening using for months now. Has a quirky sound when heating up the hob. The metal cover is Extreme hot (Untouchable) the and heats radiated to surrounding cookware, be careful.

Good
Needed for a couple of weeks without oven. A bit rickety, had to put some tin foil under one of the feet to stop it moving. But as a cheap stop gap itโs working well, a bit slower than an oven hob but that was expected. Am happy with this.
