HipGirl Ultra Sharp 9 Inch Fabric Pinking Scissors/Shears

These inexpensive pinking shears are built like a tank. I was not expecting such quality construction, especially considering the low price and no-brand; but these are high quality scissors at an unbeatable price. The plastic handles give a comfortable grip, and the shears feel solid without being too heavy. They cut through multiple layers of heavy fabric with ease. I even tried cutting through an entire section of the newspaper -- worked like a charm.Highly recommended.

These are great pinking shears for the price. They don't feel cheap and hold up well to frequent use. Don't pay more for pinking shears, get these!

Terrible thinners. They will break your hair and if you loosen the tension they lose alignment and you can't get it back. I bought these so I could cut my sister hair when I visit her. I can't bring my quality ones in the plane. I thought I'd use them once a year and they are not even good enough for that. I should have just bought a razor for the same price.

They are sharp but not salon quality.

They are sharp and they are pinking sheers...except that the handles are further away from the fulcrum and make it difficult to open them all the way. It is easier to cut with only half the blade than opening them all the way for the entire blade to be exposed. :( I'm used to scissors that aren't so stiff to use, they are even more stiff that my gingers.

I am very happy with these shears. They work smoothly and didn't hurt my hand. The handles, however, were made for huge hands. This was good for me,even though i have small hands, because I am left handed and they didn't pinch me like usual size scissors would have. I don't know why they made them for right handed people and not ambidextrous but I am very glad I bought them.

These are so effective for pinking fabric - they cut through several layers at a time and seem as sharp as ever after many uses. Now that I have these, I need to get some straight-edged shears from the same company so that I can cut other fabric that doesn't ravel.

I still haven't gotten used to cutting with these pinking shears, but they definitely perform as expected! I plan to use them in pattern cutting and will learn more as I use them more.
