Yes you can , I pop mine in coconut oil in an old aluminum electric corn popper !

Yes. We use a silicone microwave popper and it comes out really well. Very tasty popcorn.

How many quarts does a 1/4 cup make

I use 1/3 cup of kernels. These are small kernels, but typically makes approximately 2 quarts popped. Too much oil seems to reduce the number that pop.
