I have never taken cod liver fish oil before in liquid form. I was going on google and Amazon to look at diff brands and read reviews. I was looking into Icelandic and Nordic but was horrified by some of the reviews but I mean you’ll have some of those. This will sound ignorant or silly but I wanted an oil that I knew was mad closer to home (even though I’m pretty sure Nordic and all those EU brands are bottled here) I thought maybe i would get a better quality product if it wasn’t shipped from far away. I actually found this brand on google and saw it was on Amazon. Almost 60$ but honestly I just opened the bottle today and I was flabbergasted that there wasn’t a single fish smell. I love fish fyi but I can’t stand overpowering fish smell. Research has noted that if it is really fishy it more than likely has gone bad and/ or oxidized. I am very impressed with this oil, the color was beautiful, the taste was superb. I tried a teaspoon and it went down easy. Just tastes like an olive oil (subjective) I am very interested to see if this helps my skin and I will report back if anything changes. Remember to take this with a fat, example. With cheese or nuts it will help absorption of the vit D

It taste fine, no problem there. Pure quality ingredients properly proportioned. Stay near DV with other food containing A and D. Just poor less in your dose. Yeah its pricey but you get what you pay for.

My review is about the smell and taste of this On Target Living CLO. I've just started using it, so I can't attest to any medical benefits one way or the other. I tried this brand based on the reviews that it's not 'fishy', and also that it has naturally occurring vitamins A & D as opposed to many other brands that over process the oil and have to add the vitamins back in. I can't tolerate the odor of anything 'fishy' at all - not even a little bit, absolutely not in the least can I take that odor or taste (maybe because my mother gave me CLO as a child, and it was sooo nasty it ruined me for that smell/taste forever, idk). So, based on other reviewers saying it had no fish taste or smell, I gave the small bottle a try. I'm glad I did. It truly has **zero** fish odor or taste. To me (and to my husband) it tastes like a lemon-ish flavored olive oil and has about the same consistency, maybe a bit less thick than olive oil. It's thick, but not overly so and not hard at all to swallow, even when it's cold (refrigerate after opening). The lemon flavor is there but it isn't a strong lemon taste. I can't say that it's 'tasty', but it's not nasty or bad at all, and the usual dose apparently is a tiny 5 ml/teaspoon. I take it after my coffee in the morning with a sip of coffee to chase it and it's all good. I haven't had any burping or other special fx. I don't know how well it does (or doesn't) work as a supplement, but if you're looking for a product that doesn't taste or smell like fish and has (natural) vitamins A & D, this is it.

I have been using this cod liver oil for six months. I am very pleased with its mild pleasant flavor. I keep it in the fridge and take a small swig right after breakfast, followed by a sip of water. One of the reasons it is hard to compare our oil to the others is we have the only USA caught wild cod liver oil. The advantage is the fisherman freeze the cod on the boat, slowing down oxidation. The oxidation is what make the taste strong. Also, our organic lemon flavor is the best for mixing with the oil. We pride ourselves at keeping the price as low as possible. We also are the only liquid cod liver oil that certifies with Orivo, a company who validates we are 100% pacific cod. Second email response: No chemicals are used, we have to use some heat to pass prop 65. Cold pressed is a term that is used loosely by some companies, as that term is not regulated. Cold pressed could mean lower temperature. We use the minimum temp to get the product processed. A little background of our company, we have been educating and promoting Cod Liver Oil for 35 years traveling the world doing presentations. We didn't sell a product until 2018, so for us to put our name behind a product required us to not only research it, but use it. We have sampled, tested and researched every cod liver oil on the market. This is the best.:)

The taste is fantastic — light lemon flavor with no fishiness. It’s smooth, easy to take, and feels great on the stomach. I noticed right away that my body responded well.

Cost more but worth it. Natural flavor. Excellent!

My kids are enjoying the flavor of this CLO. Preciously we took Green Pastures fermented CLO but it had a strong taste. The quality of this one looks pretty good on the company’s website. I hope they can link up with Weston A. Price foundation because as of now they aren’t listed as a recommended brand, and I think that’s too bad since they’re the only using American CLO.

Alot of cod liver oil supplements out there has synthetic Vit E added. This is the only one I've found that is pure untainted cod liver oil. Doesn't taste fishy as well. Very easy to consume.
