Sportline Walking Advantage 226-1 Stopwatch (Blue)

I'm really not a fan of this sports watch.Perhaps its because the instructions got mangled as it came out of the box (who knew that the single piece of cardboard sandwiched in the clamshell was the only (very limited) instruction guide?) Still, the instructions only had a few tears, and I could piece it back together easily enough. They didn't cover much.The setting of clocks, alarms, etc. was needlessly complicated. I'm generally pretty good at mechanical things, and figuring items out. Rarely have I needed to consult instructions to set clocks, VCRs, etc. In this case, I had to consult the instructions multiple times, and was having a lot of trouble remembering them and/or putting them into practice. Lots of 'tap this button three times, then hit the next button, then you're ready to start!' kind of things.Worse, while the UI design was atrocious, it didn't seem like the stopwatch had some very basic features - like a timer. As all I really wanted was something to count down a minute during segments of my workouts, I was sorely disappointed it was missing (or, if it's in there, it wasn't in the instructions and is well hidden behind the arcane UI).If all you want is a stopwatch to time laps, this'll do fine. For anything above that, you'll find the features missing, or the process of accessing them laborious enough to not be worth the trouble. I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

This item is very large. I bought it to keep in my locker in case I forgot my watch(I'm a nurse) but it is so big in my pocket it's uncomfortable. Does keep time very well, and seems to be a solid item.

I had a similar stopwatch in the past and loved it. It was easy to use. This one took a bit to get used to it. It was difficult to get just the stopwatch part going at first but finally got it. The instructions didn't help as much as I expected. Overall, once I figured it out it works fine for what I need.

This is a great stopwatch! READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST! It was easy to set and I do get an on-the-hour-'beep' but it's not crazy noisy or anything. I'm an AYSO soccer coach and use it during practice. Keeps time great and was not all that hard to set up. Minus one star for a lack of backlighting.

I bought this product for measuring time for a science contest. Based upon previous reviews, it seemed like a good choice at a reasonable price. The product worked as expected and had a nice feel in the hand to use. The display was big and bright enough to clearly view on a sunny day outdoor. Really no complaints so far. I did find out that I could purchase the same product at a local sporting goods store for a similar price as amazon but with sales tax amazon was a slightly better deal.

This was not a "New" item ... but a repackaged item sold as a new item. They made the mistake of enclosing setup instructions for a model 220 stop watch, and this is a model 226-1. And .. the battery did not have its' plastic activation tab attached. I think it was returned by another customer for the same reason. Otherwise it would get a 4 star rating. I hate it when companies try and rip you off!!

Coaching soccer I decided it would be easier to keep time with a stopwatch rather than my cell phone. Ordered this on Prime for a great price and it was here in no time. Serves its purpose well.
