Very good quality. He works very well in my truck. I separated it 1 purged from the wall due to the temperature and ventilation. Very quiet. Only detail to point out. If you are going to buy it, keep in mind that the cables they bring are extremely short. For the rest I give him his โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Separates Are Viable .vs. Combined
I *also* own a Renogy 2kw combined charger/inverter. That unit has an internal 30A transfer switch and is very fast to change over. HOWEVER, it has two serious issues: 1) The fan is on a LOT even when just charging lightly and 2) it has to be "on" to charge the battery bank. So this, plus a separate converter-charger, means (1) you move the plug from shore power to inverter when you need to. Or does it? Well, maybe not, if you are willing to run the same way. The reason is this: This unit is SILENT except when under pretty heavy load. So if you have a converter/charger that can deliver the amps you could turn this on whenever you have shore or generator power, the converter is on, and your plugged-in things are on this all the time. This is basically 15 amps of output (as is the 2kw all-in-one) but the transfer is manual -- other than none at all if you leave it on all the time when on shore or generator power. Is this viable? IMHO, yes, because the quiescent draw on this thing is only about 1 amp or roughly 12 watts. You can't leave it on ALL the time when there is no charge as obviously 1 amp will kill your pack BUT if you have a charge source 1 amp is not much -- and you silent operation except under heavy load. If your converter/charger fan is thermostatically controlled.... there you go. The biggest issue I have with all the integrated ones, whether Renogy, Victron or anyone else is noise level. This doesn't matter if the unit is not in inhabited space and far enough away that it doesn't matter, but if it IS in inhabited space then it really does matter quite a bit. No idea on reliability but it absolutely does put out the 120V, its sine-wave, and at least under light loads the fans never come on. Someone should figure out how to have ambient cooling except under heavy load and essentially be silent in something like the Victron MultiPlus (or equivalent Renogy) units, but until they do if noise is a factor separates win for that reason, along with charge being independent of the inverter being turned on.

Very good value, works very well and as advertised. Clear instructions.
Preface: I'm using this in a boat which is acceptable but not ideal. It has to do with the way the neutral and ground are connected. However, this is more of an issue with combo interval/charger units, and since this is strictly an inverter that gets turned off when we're finished with it, that makes it acceptable. Please consult a qualified marine electrician. Product evaluation: We are very happy with this inverter. The instructions are clear and it works as described. We have purposely purchased appliances that are lower wattage so that it can run 2-3 of them at once. As a test, I used it to heat a tank of water on the boat and it did the job. If the batteries dip below about 11.5 volts, it will keep working but start beeping. As you may know, flooded batteries (which we have) can drop down to 11.5 volts for a short period without harming them. Once the load is taken off, they generally "recover" to well over 12 volts. While the inverter comes with a wired remote on-off switch, we do not use it. As should always be installed, we have a rotary inverter power cut-off switch between the battery bank and the inverter. We simply leave the power switch on the inverter housing in the on position, then use the rotary switch to turn it on and off. We also installed a 250amp fuse between the battery and the rotory switch. Do not use the inverter without a proper fuse. The inverter comes with 2 battery cables but they were not adequate gauge for our application. There are tables online that will tell you for a given load and length of wire run what gauge you need. Do not gloss over these details. The wires being included could lead you to believe they are all that's needed to connect the inverter to the battery, but that would leave out the fuse and cut-off switch. We have now been using the inverter for a couple of months with zero issues. Because we have it installed where we can't easily see it, we like the short beep that it makes when we power it up. It gives a similar but longer beep when powered down. No negatives to report.

Very reliable and puts out the power
This has been a great inverter for my fifth wheel camper. I wanted to get a solar setup and be able to run my chest freezer in the Arizona sun. This inverter runs nonstop keeping my freezer cold and occasionally running my 1โ electric water pump at the same time. I have also used it with the freezer and a standalone AC unit on those 100+ days and it never had a problem as long as the sun was good. It has been very reliable and I may purchase another one for a vehicle soon. Running with 600 watts of solar panels by the way.

Don't buy this piece of garbage.
A piece of garbage. Looks good, but right out of the box, it was problematic. A couple of years on, the full extent of it's cheesiness became apparent. It sucks up an inordinate amount of wattage to do it's job, the low voltage alarm goes off at different values, and it is very inefficient in converting DC to AC. It will pull down battery voltage overnight when it is the only load connected. The customer support from Renology is pretty useless as they just spout a whole lot of tech speak which is unintelligible to the average intelligent individual. Best used as costume jewelry or a garden hose. Don't buy it. When I upgrade, it won't be with a Renology product.

Renogy is the Good Stuff, Nice Beast ๐
I found Renogy products about 10 years ago for my RV PV setup. Ive tried others but always find myself replacing the other guys w Renogy. This is a nice beast of an inverter , comes w really nice battery feed cables too. Like others , im not a fan of the tiny connector block lugs for the hardwire output - but it works. I used 10AWG stranded THHN and split the strands around the screw . You only have to build it once, so mostly a non issue. The only thing 'weird' was that when I first powered it up I heard a teeth rattling super high frequency buzz . I noticed others have heard it too if you have good ears (we're talking dog whistle levels). I had mine mounted in a cabinet and thought id just see how it goes. After running the unit a while the humm went away and hasnt come back after weeks now ๐ค I think it was just the capacitors charging up or the bearings on the fan motors needing breaking in because theyre new. Im glad I was patient with it. End of the day - FANTASTIC inverter . My 2kw runs quiet & cool and doesnt even blink with a coffee maker or microwave on the load. Once again gold stars for Renogy.

The inverter works fine, accessories could be better.
While the inverter works fine the wire and terminals could be improved. Comes with 1/0 cables 3' long with terminals ends attached. The holes in the terminals are many times larger than the bolts that secure them to the inverter. The washer barely covers the hole. The terminals for the hardwire of the 120vac wiring are very small and weak. Barely accept a 14 gauge wire. I used 10 gauge wire to run the power about 20' back to my RV power cabinet. Had to trim down the wires to make them fit the terminals. The remote works fine but I am going to make a spacer to mount it on the cabinet surface rather than cut a large hole in the cabinet. The case ground on the inverter is a very tiny stud that was smaller in diameter than any ring terminal I have. I do have a large assortment of terminals. I also did not have a wrench small enough to fit the nuts. I worked my whole live (I'm 72) as a mechanic so have a lot of wrenches. I used a small adjustable wrench

Good product, but not enough power for using it in semi truck. Itโs still usable for one microwave or freezer but for both of them on time- shut down every couple of minutes

Beefy... Not much heat. Solid lug mounts and terminals.
Installed this in my RV being fed with 10ft 1 AWG wires (bought separately) . Handles 1200watt loads w/o any issue with minimal heat. Electronics all work fine as well. Good mounts for the lugs. No interference hum sounds from stereo as with previous inverters I had. Only feature I wished it has was a 12 volt on terminal to connect a relay for a mains disconnect but a transfer switch accomplishes the same thing at a slight expense. So far have Renogy inverter, charge controller, and solar panels. I think all their products are of decent quality.
