Made a big difference
This has made a huge difference to getting out of bed in the morning - it's a nice way to wake up with the increase of light. I have more motivation and energy using this. I love it but there are a few things I'd change. Pros - small and compact - get to wake up to - I like the sunset mode (put it on when I get in my bedroom, as the light dims, it feels cosy and makes me sleepy) Cons - the red LED light that shows the time is bright. There is the option to turn it down, but even then it is bright. It can be turned off but then the time can't be seen - the alarm noise is so loud, even on the lowest setting. I turned it off in the end - I think the alarm has to be turned on each day - there is no reoccurring setting (at least I don't think there is) Maybe I'm expecting too much for a sunrise alarm clock. Just seems certain functions are a little outdated and it could do with a make-over/overhaul. Saying that, I wouldn't be without it.

Great!!
It actually worked! I am the complete opposite of a morning person and bought this because i was sick of feeling permanently exhausted during the winter. The light gradually lights up half an hour up to your alarm, where you can set birdsong or a nice beep thats much nicer than the iphone alarm. I still set the alarm on my phone just in case, but I’ve woken up well before and switched it off every time. No more brain fog and no more exhaustion halfway through the day. I also lowkey like that its not controlled by an app - encourages me to put my phone away and the buttons on the lamp are intuitive. So so so recommend !!

A good affordable alarm clock with decent lumination
If like me you are into tech and grew up with a hi-fi system in your house then using this alarm clock will have it's similarities in setup. Once you figure out the controls with how to set the time and alarm decomes straight forward. Please read the manual first as as it is not the most intuitive interface. It's not complicated to learn, just takes a moment to do so. Alarm and light function nicely. The choice of alarms are decent ranging from animal noises to an actual alarm beep. The light begins half an hour before your set alarm time. It does have a gradual climb to full brightness. The only issue I have with this is that the initial light brightness is too much. Ideally I want the light to incremently go from 0,1,2,3,4....99,100 full brightness whereas this goes from 0 to 20 (low level brightness) then steps to like 30, 40 etc. It's that initial jump is like someone turning a ligh on in your room when you are asleep. This doesn't happen all the time and I will sleep until the alarm goes off. It is something to be aware of. I have turned the light facing the wall so it's not as direct lght. The light is a nice brightness when full and is nice to have when waking up. This is a good product for the price, it is a good alarm with light function, the higher end models probably will have better light capabilities.

A great device ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really struggle getting out of bed on dark winter days, so looked for a solution. The Lumie light genuinely saves me on dark mornings! The light ======== The light has four different functionalities 1. Sunrise - it comes on 30mins before your alarm. It starts dull and gradually gets brighter so when you ‘wake’ the room is like the brightness of a summer morning. 2. Sunset - you can set the sunset functionality when you go to bed. Gradually over 30mins the light will fade and then switch off. Great for kicking in that sleepy feeling 3. Colours - there are multiple colours you can set the light (not in sunset/sunrise mode) and different brightnesses. I’ve not used them, but I know some colours help in situations, so could be useful for others 4. Standard light - the Lumie light is bright enough that you can use it as a nightstand light too Clock ===== The Lumie has a clock that you can set for 12/24h clock depending on your preference. Good news if you’re like me and like to sleep in total darkness - you can switch the clock off at night using one of the buttons on the back. The clock will reappear when your alarm goes off, or when you switch it back on. You can adjust the brightness of the clock (there are two brightnesses) but both are too much for me when I’m trying to sleep. Alarm ====== There are a couple of alarm sounds you can pick from, all are a bit annoying. What I would have liked is just to have the light as an alarm, but you can’t. You have to have the light and the sound. There is a snooze button too. Would I recommend? ================= Absolutely. I have recommended to a few people already.

Usable but major flaws
I've been using this for years and I do like it but I have several issues with it, which are a shame because it was reasonably expensive for basically a clock/lamp. The dawn lamp goes through obvious stages of brightness rather than a smooth brightening. This is an entry level sunrise lamp so I don't mind this too much. It is nice to wake up in this way, I also sent a gradual alarm (early bird app) as back up, I don't use the clocks in built sounds. It's nice to have other colour lights and I use the red every night. I wish it was properly red, it's orange really. When turning on the red lamp I have to go first through dim white and bright blue, it's the worst thing about the lamp. The buttons aren't embossed to you have to do this while looking at the lamp and it's to bright for late at night. The clock doesn't keep time. I can't rely on it as a clock, which is it's main purpose. It's plugged into the wall so power isn't an issue. It falls out of time really quickly after readjusting this. All in all, I recommend spending more and going for a better sunrise alarm model. Having said that, I'm not replacing it any time soon because they're so expensive.
