X Files

The previous reviewers have said it all. The recording by Decca, pre-eminent in recording technology since World War 2, is superb. I listened initially on earphones. When I switched to my favourite Grado SR60 headphones the sound expanded to a rich and detailed wide stage with sumptuous bass notes. As mentioned elsewhere, the cello sound is noteworthy.The booklet of 12 pages that accompanies the CD has scenes from the movie as well as the usual track and timing details. The generous recording time is about 10 seconds short of 72 minutes. The shadow font used in the booklet for the track titles, red on a grey background, is not easy to read. Why not use flat white on grey?The 23 tracks on this CD are a wonderful reminder of the movie and an equally memorable X File experience. Both the movie and this CD are highly recommended.

I am a great X Files fan. Very happy with the film. I will not sell it as it is a great film.

Mark Snows most tantalizing creation since Fight The Future. A grandiose collection evoking dark and horrific head transplant experiments by evil, sadistic scientists to sumptuous symphonies complimenting swirling snow covered Vancouver forests that accentuate yet another chapter in Mulder and Scully's ongoing quest to find the truth. This shadow X light cover is 1 of 3 different CD covers making all 3 delectable collectibles for X-Philes.

This is a fantastic cd, it's just like being at a concert! The music is rich and flows well, this cd helps me relax on the drive home from work. The 3rd to last track is a beautiful rendition of the theme and the 2nd to last track is that great song from when the credits were rolling and it pans out to the boat and the island. I was amazed at how many people walked out of the theater before they got to see that part. That was the best part! The last song is not of my taste and now I see why it wasn't featured in the movie. Overall a must have cd, 4.9 stars out of 5 (because of that last song).

As a fan I am totally biased towards the movie, loved it as a fan... the film it self is decent not outstanding, hope they close in the saga with a 3rd movie.The score... probably the best thing within the movie, I just loved the new version of the classic theme song, the end credits were amazing.If you're a fan buy this album it is that good.Cheers!

Mark Snow once again succeeds at giving audeiences the most compelling score in movies or television today. It offers up an abieance that unmistakeable suspenseful intelligent and paranormal. The Album also features a colaboration with Xzibit that is one the most lyrically equated songs ever. Unkle variation of the famous x-files theme is awesome, rich in detail, pulsating with rhythum and high energy. I bought this soundtrack after buying the movie, as the theme was quite exhilarating and exciting. I was always a great fan of the original theme, but this reworked version was breathtaking. Such a great new visionary work. I love the series, the movies, and now this incredible soundtrack. It is a welcome addition to my library of entertainment.

I really liked the score, but it is no where the wonderful level as the first movie score. They are both different movies with different approaches to the characters. I think that the scores fit where each characters are in the films. If you liked the movie then the score is a fitting piece. Overall, good.

Great video game soundtrack, all the songs are great, the composer is very good, i recommend this soundtrack to everyone !!!

Excellent movie soundtrack

This is not my favorite X-Files soundtrack by any means but it is nice to have some new material. The main thing that is lacking here is references to the old themes. After so much time off the air, more of an homage to the series would have been very welcome. Fans of the series should enjoy this.

I am big fan of Mark Snow. I am very pleased with his work on X-Files TVSHOW, 1st movie and Millennium TV Show.However I did not like his work on this soundtrack like the others I mentioned. However the 2 last music performed by UNKLE are awesome!
