From the bottom of the base to the top of the knob how long is it?

Approximately 1 1/4". I dont want to remove it (pain to get back on) so I can put calipers on it, so I just measured its protrusion from the scope ring it is mounted to. That came in at 1 1/4", though that is with all excess plastic half thread trimmed away, to a point inside the knob.

How many come in a package? Need seller confirmation.
