HIghest Recommendation for this Unit
Has been a lifesaver over the summer. We use this for an 8000 gallon community tank and have been pleased with the accuracy, even for our large holding tank. The initial unit had a fatal issue, but the company replaced it without hassle and the new unit has been flawless. It was easy to install and set up, it reaches our home WIFI 100 yards away, the WIFI reporter has withstood 115 degrees this summer, and the reports go directly to our phone app. It is programmable so we tell it how often to report, and when to notify us of sudden changes. The premium program is inexpensive and allows us to download data over a specified period of time so we can see the water usage over any given interval. We are very pleased with this unit.

Every water storage tank should have one
I can honestly say that I have zero regrets about this purchase. The system is accurate enough for my needs and I can check the water level at a glance from my smartphone or from any computer anywhere in the world. Checks are done every 15 minutes and values are updated online every 30 minutes. If the water level in our 2800-gallon tank drops below 75%, I get an alert. If it drops below 50%, I get another alert. 75% means "keep an eye on it", while 50% means "something is definitely wrong". That second alert gives me plenty of time to investigate the cause of the problem so that we're not trying to troubleshoot an issue with a well pump at the same time that we have absolutely no water. We can conserve as needed, while continuing to have water for critical needs. And since we keep the well pump's top float switch on such a short tether (pump kicks on at 90%), we know without a doubt that 50% is actionable. This device can easily save you money. I purchased the system in February 2022. Had I purchased it prior to 2020, it would have paid for itself by saving me from having to get a $700 water delivery when our storage tank ran dry during the height of COVID business closures. If I had to buy the system again, for whatever reason, I would do it in a heartbeat. Even if I had to buy a new PTLevel every few years, I would probably do it. I mean, you can't live without water, right? In three years of ownership, I have never had to reconfigure this system. The indoor wireless receiver has never forgotten its settings, nor has the outdoor monitor/transmitter ever failed to transmit data, except when the batteries recently got weak. As Steve Jobs was so famous for saying, it just works. With regard to the batteries in the monitor/transmitter, I just changed the batteries in my PTLevel for the first time since the system was installed in February 2022. That's THREE YEARS on the original AA batteries. So, when the Paremtech folks say that these batteries will last for years, they are not kidding. But do yourself a favor: use good batteries that won't leak. Procells, in my experience, always hold up nicely. One more thing: While changing the batteries in the monitor/transmitter, I discovered that the original gasket for the cover had turned into a gooey mess and could not be reused. I contacted Paremtech to ask them where I might be able to find a replacement, since I was not having any luck finding replacements on Amazon or AliExpress. Paremtech went above and beyond by offering to send me a replacement cover with gasket, as well as an additional spare gasket. I did not expect that, but I sure do appreciate it! PTLevel is a great product and Paremtech offers great support. Buy with confidence!

Wildly inacurate!
I purchased this product two years and five days ago to remotely monitor the water tank at my second home. It was easy to set up and was accurate...for awhile. Then the readings began to show much less than what was actually in the tank. The plastic tube tube that connects the pressure chamber inside the tank with the monitoring device turned out to be waterlogged. I drained it and remounted it to the device and chamber using sealant per manual instructions, and reset the device. It immediately registered the correct tank level. BUT, after a couple of months, the readings again were way off, and sure enough, the tube was again waterlogged. This has repeatedly happened every 2-4 months ever since. One time it registered 18 % when the tank was full! The problem seems to occur every time we get a deliver of water - i.e. when the water level in the tank raises substantially. Until now I assumed that I was nor properly sealing the connections, but now (after really laying on the sealant the last time) it has become very apparent that the pressure chamber has leaked since I bought the device. Unfortunately, I grasped the problem five days too late to make a warranty claim. Thus I have no recourse after spending $309. Hopefully you can learn from my mistake and locate a dependable alternative.

Everything I needed it to be, easy to use, and customer service was amazing!
First off, I wasn't aware that you could buy a transmitter with an AC adapter attached to it. Go to the PTDevices website to order that directly with your setup if that's what you want. I was able to buy one from them after the fact by contacting customer support. As far as function goes, it's perfect for me. I use it to monitor an in-ground 1000gallon sump tank. I have mine set to report water level every 5 minutes, and send me email and text if the water level gets below 25% or above 55%. This keeps me knowledgeable of pump failures so that I don't overfill or burn out the pump. It's very easy to setup and install. I put my transmitter in the same electrical enclosure (plastic box) as the water pump's power, which is in a field on my property. The receiver is inside my house 100++ feet away and has no issues with connection. I'm able to view the status of water levels, history graphs, battery level of transmitter, and change settings from my phone or computer. It's been exactly what I needed! The setup app makes setup very easy and PTdevices app shows everything I need to see at a glance. The website also gives you more power by allowing you to download your data history.

Good but could be great
Awesome device. One draw back though are the batteries. If your well tank is in an unideal spot this may be challenging. You can get around this though with a solar panel using integrated batteries and a little aa adapter and some silicone for waterproofing. Works well.

What a pleasure!
When I bought my place 22 years ago there was no remote monitoring solution for my water tank, which is 1000 feet up a hill and over a rise, that didnโt require power up there (which I donโt have) - so I โinventedโ a home brew system that served me well with float switches in the tank and an LED readout at the house, all connected by actual wire and a 12V power supply. But it was finally getting long in the tooth so before repairing it I decided to see whatโs out there now. I bought the wireless PT Level system and could not be happier! The level sensor/transmitter runs on 4 AA batteries (apparently, for a couple YEARS per set) and uses โlong range wirelessโ (not WiFi) to communicate with a receiver at the house. The receiver IS WiFi connected - so it uploads the tank level info to a server - and now you can see your tank level from your phone or web browser - as well as set alerts to warn you if level is going low. Installation could not have been simpler and it worked right off the bat. Very pleased.

Excellent!
I ordered 3 of these after moving into a new house with 3 rainwater cisterns. For a few months we struggled with lifting the 200lb lids and trying to measure the level manually. The water was so clear it was hard to see the level even in direct sunlight. I finally got over the cost and bought 3 of these. Setup was good, operation was phenomenal. It completely changed our attitude. Instead of being worried about how much water we had, we could see it at any time. No more anxiety about which cistern we are pulling from and which one we have the rainwater diverted to. It let me fine tune the diverters so I just leave them in a set position. After a couple of months the third tank went from 90% full to zero overnight. After confirming it was still 90% full I tried the tips on the support page with no luck. I finally emailed them at [email protected] after finding the email in an Amazon review. The next morning I received a response saying that they could tell that the sensor failed remotely and were sending a new receiver. It arrived from Canada two days later and I installed it and it's working perfectly. If this happens to you read the "link" instructions they tell you about. I somehow missed them and was getting the same reading that the broken transmitter had. As soon as I linked the new transmitter to the old receiver everything worked perfectly. The I'd number is on the reciever, not the transmitter, that threw me off as well. Overall, an excellent experience!

Seems to need a lot of maintenance
We have our PT Level for about a year and it has been nothing but a headache - we have to blow out the tube almost every two weeks otherwise water gets in the PT Level system - also it is not great in cold weather. The maintenance hole cover for the tank is within 50' of the router (very fast speed lan system) and yet the pt level system drops connection a lot. We have replaced the tubing and connectors and it worked better for a time, but now it is back to having to be blown out every couple of weeks. I would think that an electronic connection to the device that sits in your tank would be a much better option than the tube that relies on a vacuum to indicate your water level - just a thought.

Great for montoring well tank level
Installed easily in our 5' deep well tank which is about 100' from our home. No issues with connectivity between the tank and wifi modules. The app takes a little getting used to but it does tell me everything I need to know about the tank water level. Alerting works well too. Great solution.

Helpful gadget
Works great, very easy to install. Great gadget for the guy who has everything! Great for the guy who doesn't want to go out in winter to check cistern water level. Only improvement would be having an app instead of having to go onto website to check water level. But even that is pretty easy. Great idea for country living!

Just amazing!
Was amazingly surprised on how easy this installation was. This is a phenomenal product and immediately was impressed on the accuracy. Just installed last weekend on my trickle system cistern. Now I now if I have enough water for my loads of laundry/showers. I saved 600$ from a professional install for the same product. It took me 30 minutes to install, time to re-fill my cistern to calibrate the reading to read 100% and voila. I now know how much water a load of laundry and a long shower uses, thanks to PT Device.

Reliable tank level sensor
Really like this device it works very well. Also their customer service is exceptional. I thought I had an issue with the device and sent them an email and within 30 minutes I had a reply asking me a few questions and they then provide me with some possible causes and what to do. Turns out I decided to change a parameter in the device setting which gave me the error in reading. Once I reverted back to the previous setting the unit has been working very well with no issue. Also the transmitter work well. My tank is on the opposite side of my house where my wifi modem is and I usually have on average 98% signal strength. Highly recommend this device.
