I misread the product features and thought this was without the automatic off function. It is 6 hours then it shuts itself off.I am not complaining as it is my fault more missing that detail.Now for the review.Today is Nov 25, 2024The heater is built very nicely. Excellent quality.The fabric is really soft and nice feeling on the skin. It's not that annoying microfiber either. Rather it's a velvety smooth feeling.The size I got is the larger size. But note that the area that heats isn't as large as the entire material. I imagine the larger option has a larger center area heating coil.Super easy to use. Press the on / off button once for high heat and it's RED. Press again it turns BLUE for medium warm. Press again for WHITE for low heat. Pressing once more shuts it off.To turn off at any point just press and hold the button for about 5 seconds.Good value for the money. This runs off of any portable power bank for USB A connections. Or a 5v 2A wall wart or USB power supply.It does warm up very nicely on high heat.I will be keeping this as I can use it or my sweetheart can as an extra heating pad.This doesn't mean I had an issue with this heating pad. Just trying to prevent a possible issue.I used some 3M extreme duty duct tape to stabilize the area the cord connects to the pad. While this one is pretty well made, the one spot to be weakest is the connection between the cable and heating pad.To keep the cable from bending as much I placed a 10 inch by half width piece of duct tape at an angle to each side of the cable. Think of trying to keep a pole from tipping over. Then I used a piece to cover the ends on the fabric. Then another to secure the the ends of the last piece that wrapped around front to back covering the diagonal piece ends.I have 2 images to show the finished reinforcement.This is my first time with this brand and particular heating pad. Other than the auto shut off.I do recommend this heating pad.

It’s great that there is no power switch nor heat level adjustment. Here’s why: there are no switch or dial components that a dog might chew on and break, nor can it accidentally be switched to a high heat or turned on or off by the pet.The pad never gets too hot. It’s nice and warm. The pad is relatively flexible and the cover is soft and washable.It shouldn’t be, and doesn’t need to be, covered with blankets. If the room is really cold in the morning, sometimes I’ll cover the dog loosely with a light blanket to form sort of a tent. It holds a little extra heat around the rest of her body.If I’ll be gone from home for awhile, I plug it into a smart plug. I could theoretically shut it off remotely from my phone if needed. I can’t recall actually ever doing that, but just in case the option is there:My dog just got new roommates and everyone understandably wants a spot on the pad, so I just ordered the larger size.Our dog has absolutely loved the smaller pad from the first day she got it almost 2 years ago. It still works like new and the only thing that looks a little used is the pad cover. It’s held up well but it’s been washed dozens of times at this point so it’s faded a touch. No holes or worn threads though.I’m super happy with this pad and more importantly so is the dog. She loves it so much and so do her new roommates that I wish it was standard equipment for pet owners to have them.

This is a great product. I have 2 of the large sized ones that my 3 pets share- 13 pound dog, 10 pound cat and 16 pound cat. I originally got it for my dog's bed since her old electric blanket stopped working. She loved it, but she kept finding her bed occupied by kitties. So I got a second one. They all take turns sharing the beds and love them.At first they were apprehensive about using them. I'm guessing this was due to the factory smell and because they are slightly stiff. All it took was one or two times of placing them on the mat for them to realize the heat. That's all it took for them to fall in love.My pets aren't chewers, but I like the durable cord cover as added protection, just in case of chewing. If they were chewers, I would probably want to supervise their use until I was comfortable with the risk. The cover is removable so it can be washed as needed.The temperature level is as promised, just warm enough to keep the pets feeling cozy on a cold day, but not so warm that they become overheated. My dog used to pant once in awhile with her old electric blanket, which would prompt me to turn down the heat. I've had this product for a few months now and haven't seen her pant once.Great product, I have recommended to family and friends. And I recommend it to anyone else who is looking for a high quality, safe warming pet mat. The only suggestion for improvement that I would make is for the company to find a way to make the mat more flexible and soft. But honestly, my pets love it anyway and the stiffness probably helps the mat stay flat instead of getting bunched up in a ball like a blanket. So maybe the product really is perfect as-is after all. While the concept is great, this just doesn’t get that warm. It does warm up, but it needs to be 15 degrees or so hotter.We have it in a “cat condo” outside for our feral cats. At least they started life that way. Anyway, during the winter, we set this up on the front porch, and we put this inside for them to lay on. It helps, but when the temps drop to freezing or below, it’s not much help.Will continue to use it until I find one that does get warmer.

I purchased this heating pad for my cats who like to stay outdoors in the winter. They have little cat houses so I put these inside. Well the first night I put them in the houses both my girls were still inside in the morning. They absolutely love them! The one I bought wasn’t the small and it is small. But for cats they are just right. Perfect for the price. I highly recommend.
