I've never refoamed a speaker before, but I knew the parts were accessible and affordable. Simply Speakers' refoam kit had exactly what I needed, matched to these speakers. The included instructions were helpful. But even more helpful are the multitude of great installation videos on the Simply Speakers website and YouTube channel. The surrounds fit perfectly and installation was quick and easy for this first timer. Thanks to Simply Speakers, I was able to bring these legendary speakers back to life. I have a bit of a tweeter issue I'm hoping Simply Speakers can help me with and I'm looking forward to using them again to rescue more speakers in the future! Perfect fit

Saved my vintage Yamaha NS-A98s
I have some vintage speakers that I bought new in the 70s and 80s. A pair of AR7s and a pair of Yamaha NS-A98s. I haven't used either pair for a while but pulled them out of storage and checked them out thinking I'd sell them. The Yamahas sounded funny, the AR7s sounded fine. I pulled off the covers and the foam rings were deteriorated on all of the subwoofers. I looked around and found this repair kit for both. The company has a video on their website and also on YouTube that shows how to do the repair. That made things easy. I repaired the Yamahas first and they came out great. They sound like new so I decided to keep them. I haven't had time to do the AR7s yet, but they sound great even without the repair, so I'm waiting until I have more time to do those. I give this kit 5 stars plus because $25 saved a nice set of vintage Yamaha speakers.

Not the same material as the original surrounds, but they seem to do the job fine.

Being Green!
This kit rescued good speakers from the trash. The result is great and the did-it-myself result feels pretty good. Find a friends dead $500 speakers from college and put them in YOUR living room.
