LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!
This is by far my favorite kitchen appliance. So quick and easy to use. Literally just pop in the batteries then put it on the can and push the button. When its done push the button for a second longer and it will stop yet also grab the lid. Aside from how easy this is to use what I love about it is that it Literally cuts the whole top part of the can with the lid and not just the lid. I say this because other can opener will open the can from the side but this one takes the whole top which leaves no sharp edges and no dirty "top of the can" gunck to get in your food. This tool is the best thing since sliced bread. Now I look forward to opening cans instead of dreading it like I did with a manual opener. Don't think on it, BUY IT! This was worth every single penny.

Game changing can opener, just click “buy now”
This can opener is a game changer! It’s easy to use and to the point and gets the job done. It’s nice too that there’s no sharp edges on the lid or around the can. One suggestion would be to maybe a stronger magnet or part that grasps the lid when you remove it; I know it’s semi does but it’s a hit or miss the times I’ve used it. Regardless, this is best can opener on the market and is super simple to use. If you need a can opener, look no farther and just purchase this one.

What a COOL idea!
I admit I was skeptical as I read the description on Amazon. But it was one of those cases where the idea about how it did the job seemed worth the risk.Cutting open a can by cutting from the side of the can, just under the rim, rather than the puncturing the top, almost sounded crazy! But it works! Perfectly! And I truly believe it's much safer. With most can openers, you must stand there holding the lever that controls how long it takes to cut out the lid! With this one, you simply drop it onto the can and BRIEFLY press the red button to get it started. For the next few seconds, you're free to do anything else.Instead of the can spinning around, this entire unit does the spinning around while the can doesn't even move. And while it's doing it's job, your hands and attention can be on something else.IF it takes a bit longer than your previous opener, it will only be a few seconds at most. And those seconds are yours to use as you see fit. When preparing food, every second is valuable! When the job is done, you simply lift the opener and put it away. Then you lift the lid by the rim. It comes off very easily with no mess on your fingers. Just drop the lid in the kitchen garbage can. No sharp edges anywhere! You may want to occasionally rinse off the opener but that's not necessary very often if at all. Certainly not to the extent that "old fashioned" electric openers must be cleaned often. I used to own/operate a childcare center--100+ kids. Making sure openers were clean was a biggie on state Inspectors' list! And that "put it away" part is even better than you think. Unlike most can openers that must take up counter space, not to mention an electric outlet, this one can easily fit in a drawer or cabinet out of sight.Note that it is battery powered--4 AA batteries. No wires to an electric outlet! I haven't had it long enough to have any idea how long the batteries will last. But I don't see that as a concern. I feel that using it for the minute or less it takes to open a can is not likely to be a big drain on the batteries.Simply MARVELOUS!

Too early to really rate. Used twice now.
I'm still.learning to use it. Only needed it twice so far. I wasn't sure it opened the can even tho it went around as advertised. Determined it did when saw liquid under the can. It may be a 5 star & the magnet simply didn't pull the lid. Good concept. Recommended by Consumer Reports & they normally are correct so I bought it. I've bought a different one & returned it. Not all battery openers are what they claim. Stays clean, the button does not always function properly. Starts & stops

Innovative design that revolutionizes a simple task
This thing is Awesome!! It's hard to believe just how well it works on any size can. I've had any number of manual and electric can openers, of varying quality and utility, and the Kitchen Mama puts them all to shame. It may seem odd to get this excited about a can opener but it's rare to find an innovative, well designed, product like this that does exactly what it's designed to do with no muss or fuss. Set it on top of the can, push the button and when it completes one revolution, you're done. The built in magnet holds the lid and it comes off with edges so smooth you can reuse it as a lid if so desired. I've had mine for over 2 years and I've only had to swap batteries (4XAA) one time, even though I use it frequently. In fact I like it so well I bought 2 or 3 more as gifts and I have a spare in my own pantry. At any rate, I guess it's fairly clear by now that I highly recommend this product.

Love this product
Batteries are not included. I am left handed. Can openers are my nemesis. Recently bought a manual opener that sliced my hand and probably spewed metal bits into my food. Disaster. So I bought this. Actually almost spilled the can everywhere because the slice was so clean. Really pleased, instructions are easy to understand and product is easy to use.

works
I have very weak hands. This does work pretty well. It is slow like others have said but that is not a problem at all. The magnet usually doesn't work to lift the lid after cutting and I have to get out another tool to do so which is a bit of a hassle but all in all, if you need help opening cans this will do it. I don't know yet how long the batteries last.

Great Product
The build quality is outstanding! I was able to just put the can opener on top of the can and presto! It cut the can as advertised. I had ordered the 2.0 version and I couldn't get it to work as much as I tried; but, the original Kitchen Mama worked great.
