Why does every brand of vegan-omega-3 capsules contain Carrageenan? Can anyone recommend a product without it?

It is too bad that the manufacturer has not found an alternative to the use of carrageenan in their vegan capsules. While the FDA has approved the use of such undegraded carrageenan in foods, the jury is still out on what ill affects on the gastrointestinal tract it may have and whether in combination with stomach acid, it may become the carcinogenic degraded form. I prefer not to take that chance. After all, I went to vegan forms of Omega 3 to avoid the potential toxins that accumulate in fish oil, so why just substitute one potential toxin for another?

Is it grown in a tank?

Does this supplement contain any epa at all? the label says 1000 mg, 400 of that being dha. what is in the other 600 mg of the oil?

Hello, Our Vegan Omega-3 DHA supplement does not contain epa, it contains potent DHA 400 mg to be exact. The 1000 mg is actually Algal Oil, (400mg DHA) this oil is derived directly from algae. This is the reason we have a higher potency of DHA is because of the increased amount of Algal Oil. The remainder of the oil would be made up of the various monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fats which occur naturally in algae. Hope this clarifies any concerns you may have had. It does what’s supposed to do and no taste whatsoever. I can definitely recommend it.

Used to be good, but smells wrong and made me sick recently.

I used to love this omega 3 supplement as someone allergic to fish. But the last three bottles I got smelled and tasted off and started making me sick. I unfortunately had to cancel my subscription. I think the pills are getting too hot in the warehouse or during shipping and it's causing the pills to spoil.

Appear to be bad

I had previously bought the DHA version with no issues. Decided to try the DHA plus EPA version. They came with a film on the outside, concerned that they’re not good. Unfortunately, this is not a return eligible item, so order at your own risk.

Damaged safety seal

Received today with very damaged safety seal under the cap. Melted? Also, the plastic seal of the top doesn't touch the bottle, so what purpose does it serve?
