Ryka Women's Hydro Sport Cross Training Water Shoes

These shoes are going to be perfect for an upcoming cruise. They are lightweight, comfortable and very grippy. There is a moderate amount of arch support, and there is plenty of room in the toe box. My feet are narrow, and the laces will need to be knotted/bundled when wearing the shoes, because they are very long. The ventilated fabric and soles won't keep sand out, but sand should rinse out easily. Finally, I think the shoes are really cute!

Run don’t walk to buy these shoes!I originally bought some cheaper pair of shoes off Amazon got them home didn’t like them because they just rubbed in all the wrong spots. I’ve purchased this brand of shoe before in a different style, but I’ve never purchased water shoes like this. I wore these for a week in Costa Rica in town, in the cloud forest, walking in mud, walking in rain, walking on slick concrete and these shoes are absolutely the best! I had zero slipping, they did not rub, they had amazing traction and very good support. These are not water shoes that you think of not having support. They are actually like a running shoe.

The arch support is great and the width perfect. I can wear these shoes comfortably because the size 12 fit both feet. I normally wear size 11 but that size only fit my left foot, so getting the larger size was very critical. I think these shoes run smaller than expected, so I would recommend getting a size larger than you normally wear for a good fit. These shoes were the only water shoes that I could find for aqua aerobics that had drainage holes in the sole of the shoe and arch support. This was important for me because I already have a balance issue following bilateral total knee replacement surgery and when my shoes fill with water in the pool, I cannot stand upright and exercise as needed. These shoes enable me to walk and exercise in the pool and are a very comfortable fit. The price was good and the the shoes arrived promptly, ready to wear.Review Update, Jan 2016: After owning these shoes for 8 months and regularly using them in the pool several times weekly, the sole has separated from the toe of the right shoe and it seems to separate more each use. While the fit and price were good. I am really disappointed in the quality. I paid $10 for generic water shoes with the exact same features as Ryka water shoes, 12 years ago and they only fell apart a year ago after I started using them in the gym during physical therapy. Unfortunately, I cannot find the less expensive brand and the store that sold them to me does not carry it anymore. I expected to get more than 8 months from the Ryka Shoes, so I am very disappointed.

These are great for water aerobics. They are very comfortable and provide good support.

WOW! These water shoes are fantastic. The fit is perfect and there is a nice amount of cushion in these heel. Highly recommend.

I use these for many water classes 5-12 classes a week, and I wear these for every one. They are sturdy, give me a lot of support and are very comfortable. This is especially important since some of the classes are very high impact and move quickly even though they are in the water. I use them for Water Zumba, water step aerobics, Water Tai Chi, boot camp, Tabata workouts just to name a few. I was using just water shoes, and couldn't move as well, but after getting these shoes, I have the stability and support to move much faster and better in class. I could use these for outside the pool as they are very comfortable, but I have kept them exclusively for pool use. When I am done exercising, I rinse them out, take out the insole and insert a small warm dry towel till I use them again. My friend also has them and doesn't do this, but I'm hoping it will increase the lifespan. I will absolutely order another pair when these wear out.

A friend of mine recommended these to me for water aerobics. When I saw her with them, I was a little skeptical because they looked like they would be heavy after getting them wet. However, the design of this shoe is remarkable.I have been using the regular (cheaper) water walking shoes and they give no support and only last a few months with 5 days of aerobics each week. I feel like I'm walking on a cloud in the pool with these. My ankles and arches have so much more support and I haven't had any issues with my plantar fasciitis since I've been wearing them.The dry time is about the same as it is with other water shoes I've tried, typically overnight. I really like the new design of the laces. They have a spring clamp to adjust them on your foot and I still have enough slack to tie the laces. The ones my friend has, the laces are too long and it is a bit of an inconvenience for her. It sounds like there were some complaints and this issue has been addressed. I'm a size 7.5 in most shoes and these are a perfect fit at 7.5.I know the price is bit more expensive than the other ones I have tried but if I'm having to replace those every 2-3 months and can get at least 6 months out of these, it will be worth the difference. My friend says she's had hers for more than 2 years so I think this is the better purchase, overall.I think a good review should include likes and dislikes, however, at this time, I haven't found any dislikes. If that changes, I will update this review.

Fantastic water aerobics shoe! Definitely much more bouncy, my ankle feels much more stable and they feel very light in the water. I modify a lot of exercises to do in the water and these are truly the best shoes I’ve ever worn in the water. Toggle for laces were easy and I’d definitely pay this much again when these are worn out. I highly recommend for water aerobic exercises
