Does the tablet continue to draw power from an attached laptop or phone even if the battery is not empty?

I'll add this to the review, there is a setting (both via the onscreen controls or via the Asus Display Widget PC app) that lets you choose between drawing power from the laptop or not. There is no setting to allow power from the mobile device. Also, if you choose to not run power from the laptop and the battery runs down to 0%, let the battery run down to 0%, you will have to plug the monitor into a wall outlet for about 5 minutes, which raises the juice up to 8% and then this allows you to reconnect to the laptop and select to have the laptop power the monitor. Bu to answer your question directly, yes the monitor can (via settings) continue to draw power from the attached laptop if the battery is not empty.

Does this have hdmi connection?

The web page description is accurate with regards to connectivity. It can connect to devices which have a USB-C Alternate video mode output (cable is included), or alternatively, USB-A via the included USB-A to USB-C adapter and the installation of DisplayLink software. There is no HDMI connector.

Can you use the stylus for handwriting apps how accurate

That's a bit misleading, I'll admit. This is not a touch screen, and is not stylus enabled or supported. The "pen" is a marketing gimmick to allow you to prop it up without the case. So, the answer is "No". I have found the screen incredibly helpful in business however. Whether I'm using it to increase productivity by using a 2nd monitor, or I'm using it in lieu of a projector to easily share my screen with others in the room, it's been a great investment for me.
