This is a gorgeous and incredibly well put together collection of Woodring's Frank work. You won't regret it and is a must have for I'd say just about anyone

I'm checking current prices, and I'm surprised I ended up getting this book at a very, VERY decent price considering the other used listing are $70-200 in price. Pretty medium luck.Imagine my surprise when I cracked it open for the first time and HELLO! ITS A SIGNED COPY!That's some extra super size luck! I had read that on the artist official website a looong time ago for an extra $100 Mr. Woodring would sign the book with a little original sketch. I was not expecting this.As for the book itself, it's dazzling. I was about 5 when this was published, how I went through 3 decades never seeing this man's work is a crime. If you like the fringe, the weird, the niche side of comics/book collecting, this book is impressive. Beautifully bound, the color pages are bold and striking. You can read through a section both knowing and not knowing what you truly experienced. You think you are magically reading a language you don't understand when you have in fact, not read a single word of dialog. Heady.The presentation of the art and the beauty of the book itself it feels a shame to just keep this on my bookshelf. I want this proudly displayed on my coffee table for all to enjoy.

Awesome surreal stories

Jim Woodring is fantastic........and Frank is iconic. Frank has even shown up on posters on the walls in the awesome British-TV comedy "The IT Crowd" along with other Jim Woodring art. What a mind.....what an artist......!

Jim Woodring has done way more drugs than you. Or maybe he just has a weird inner dialogue. You should own this book either way. It's amazeballs.

powerfully odd, extremely creepy, sometimes horrifying and always compelling, woodring's magnum opus is a monumental testament to personal vision and the value of dreams. wordless, not surreal but not playing by rules i know, frank is something you've never seen before. genius, madman or wierdo, woodring is a masterful cartoonist with narrative skills to spare, and his frank work is among the finest the world of cartooning has to offer. buy all his books, shut yourself away and let this stuff mess with you, cause mess with you it will, and you'll like it
