The media could not be loaded. The VT prusik is different from a standard prusik cord in that it can be loaded and still slid easily. For rescue work or tree work it is a must have. I would even recommend this as a back up above your device for rappelling with a heavy load. The stitching is done right, and it seems very well built. 10-1 safety rating with MBS of 2500 lbs SWL 250 lbs. Don’t cheap out on life safety equipment (yes you can find other brands from questionable suppliers cheaper), buy quality and don’t question if it will be good enough. This is truly the right tool for the job.

This is a great piece of equipment for General climbing and Robis, but essential for lightweight mountain rescue systems.

I've used a standard prusik before, but this VT prusik feels so comfortable to use and protects you as a third hand. I've never felt so safe descending as when I have had this on back-up

Purchased for use on my rappelling line as a safety backup. Worked perfectly. Rope is of excellent quality and supple enough to easily tie a friction hitch. Secure and solid hold when weight is applied. Will definitely purchase another should I need another prusik rope.

The prusik will not melt like a nylon prusik. Very good for descending on double strand. Not meant for ascending.

The product no climber/caver/canyon should be without!
