Look (or feel) around the outside of the lid and you’ll find a small flap that stands proud. Get a fingernail (or a screwdriver) under that and lift up. C’est voila!!

Hi. Oil will tend to rise to the top of peanut butter. However, this but you're trends to have more oil than most. I got into the habit of stirring the oil back into the whole. As a note - I've started to make my own Peanut Butter. It's easy. And dependent on the nut used, depends on the amount of oil each batch has. Take care and be well.
