Great service, superior product!
***UPDATE- see below****ORIGINAL POST:The product itself seems good, and my dog loves them BUT we only received 2 chews even though the order and package clearly say “3 count”.***UPDATE- The good people at Kathmandu emailed me immediately after I posted the above review. They apologized and expressed their concern and intention to investigate what led to the packaging error, then immediately sent me a new 3 pack free of charge! The package arrived today. Besides this company being responsive and professional, these are THE BEST QUALITY Himalayan dog chews I have EVER purchased. My dog is a HEAVY chewer and has gone through other companies products in minutes. Kathmandu’s product lasts days or weeks (depending on what mood she’s in)! They smell great, and Lily LOVES them. Thank you Kathmandu for making a superior product backed by amazing, concerned people!

good long lasting chew for my labs
Himalyan chews are expensive, but they last a good long while in my household. We are very particular on what the dogs have. I am comfortable with bully sticks and for the most part, yak chews, and that is pretty much it. We never do rawhide, or anything from China. We don't even do raw bones-- I lost a baby to that and am forever scarred by that experience. No piggy ears, no hooves, no antlers. I am even a little reticent about these given how hard they are- might be too hard for some chewers teeth. However, they seem ok with my babies and their style of chewing.I have two large English labs who enjoy the occasional chew. My boy especially loves his "Yak Sticks"- he will take days and days to get through one. He isn't seeking to work through it all at once, hence why I am still ok with giving him these. He likes to lick, nibble, gnaw, and chew for awhile then let it be. He will return to it when he feels like it. I can toss it in with their bucket of toys, and he will find it when ready. He loves to carry toys outside with him, so I have to be careful to not let him take this outdoors lest he drop it and forget about it. I have eyes on when he is playing with this, as he likes to roll around with it and sometime have it in his mouth while on his back. Add his sister into the mix, and I am doubly observant. If on the rare occasion he seems to really be going to town on it, or if his more chew driven sister decides to give one attention, then I limit them to playing/gnawing on it to 10-15 minutes or so then put it up out of reach for awhile. So as with ANYTHING, keep an eye on your pooch when enjoying these. They work for my babies, but they may not for yours.

Was broken. Now 2 of them unusable. Updated.
I thought they looked great. Packaged tight, no mold, but I bought these for large dogs and two of them were broke in half, making them to small to give to my dogs without creating a choking hazard. So really I only got 2 usable ones for that same price that I should have received 4 of them.Update: seller got in touch with me and is promptly replacing the two broken chews and gave me a useful way to turn the broken one's into 'puffs' I will try that. They also explained how to get in touch with them using seller feedback, I did actually try this but it did not link me to a way to leave a comment or get in touch, I don't think this is their fault but is instead the technology being used. Thank you Kathmandu. Great customer service 👍

Long lasting chew, low smell, and great for hyperactive chewers.
My 90 lb German Shepherd, who is a hyperactive and insane chewer (has crushed door knobs, and gnawed at door frames), absolutely loved this treat. From the moment I opened the package, he was begging for the treat. Although I don't think it really has any appreciable smell unless you hold it up close, apparently though doggies must love smoked cheese too! (I only smelled something like the rind on manchengo cheese?)Pros:-Loved the fact that it kept a hyper active chewer entertained for 4 hours, when other treats don't last more than one hour against his jaws.-Didn't upset his stomach unlike the rawhide and other chew toys I gave him before.-its enormous size makes it easier for me to trust he wont accidently hurt himself with itCons:-The only thing to note is I had to wash it a few times since it lasts a long time and he got the treat dirty trying to hide it from me when I was going to take it away lol. Will definitely be buying these from now on!See the photo of what took him 30 minutes to do, just rounded out the corners. Other treats he would of been close to done, or already broke through the bone and eating the marrow.

Aweome, long-lasting dog chews
Our dogs LOVE these, and they last a long, long time. The 12-year-old Akita mix and 8-year-old black Lab chew them down to their nubs, breaking off little sharp bits as they go. This is the only brand I've seen where the packaging actually tells you what to do with those little chunks you're afraid they'll choke on.For those who DON'T read the instructions, pop those little bits in the microwave for 45 to 60 seconds and they puff up like a Cheeto! Let it cool down, and you can even cut the bigger ones in half for the dogs to share. I think ours love those even more than the whole chew itself!

Great Brand - Our dog approves (and so do we)!
KATHMANDU'S Natural Dog Chew is a superior Himalayan Cheese Stick for your dog. We discovered cheese sticks several months ago and had tried others, but this brand is by far the best and our large puppy approves. We ordered the large and they really have lasted longer than other brands and don't leave little chunks everywhere like some of the other brands. The best part will be popping the last bit into the microwave, since none of it goes to waste, to create a crispy cheese puff our pup can munch on. 10/10 will purchase this brand again!

THE DOGGO LOVES THESE
Athena LOVES these. I found them when trying to find natural treats that were better for her. Another good thing is we make her wait to "eat dinner with us" but she can chew on this if she's hungry and she's content. It lasts a long time. I will say this one is way better than another brand I tried because this brand individually wraps the sticks so they don't get hard before giving to her. They will eventually get hard from air etc if sitting around and then it's a bit loud when she chews on it but mostly she finished while it's still slightly soft.

I was a bit hesitant due to the price
My Labrador puppy has been a chewing machine. She destroys Nylabones. I was hesitant to buy these because it seemed like a fair whack to shell out for dog treats, but people kept recommending yak cheese chews, so I took a chance. She has been working on one of them for over a week now, and I think I could probably get another week out of it. She spends a lot of time chewing it, like hours a day. I have to take a Nylabone away from her after an hour because she's already chewed through and eaten like 1/4 of the dang thing. They come in a zip-top bag, and each of the chews is vacuum sealed. I'm quite pleased. Will buy again and do recommend!

Good value and good quality
These are a way better deal than buying them in the store where I live. They are good quality. The package had 4 chews that were different sizes, two thick ones and two thinner ones all the same length, all individually wrapped in vacuum seal bags. The packaging is excessive in my opinion but maybe it helps them stay fresher. They have a smoked flavor/scent, and they are hard but still wear down. Long lasting. My dog is a large breed with a strong jaw. He chews through bones in an hour and gets through a bully stick in less than 15 minutes.Since he's had this for less than 24 hours, he's probably chewed on it for at least 4 cumulative hours and is about 2/3 of the way through. The one weird thing is that it gets him really excited, he starts panting and is really frantic. I haven't seem him do that with other toys or chews.Update: I bought a 3lb bulk bag of yak chews from another brand. They do not compare to this brand! With the other brand some of the chews have only lasted 30 minutes. With this brand though they consistently lasted hours and hours. My pup is 14 months old now and I have come back to repurchase. Even though these are pricier than other types it's worth it for how long they last.

Flavour? Ha ha! You will have to ask my dog!
But I can tell you she goes at these hard! lol She is an 11 month old, 10 lb Pomeranian puppy...yup, that's what I said. She is a VERY aggressive chewer when she chews and even more so when she chews these, so I am confident in saying they probably do taste good...although she does like the taste of just about everything! lolOne has lasted her about 3 weeks with intermittent chewing. Yes...do have lots of fresh water available for them because it is salty. It smells kinda smokey to me and I had no issues with splintering of these and did not try the microwave thing; just fed them as is.

Our little dog loves them.
These arrived on time and well packaged. I bought a different brand last year and they looked much different and I think maybe a better product. Upon giving our toy breed one (I bought medium size as she is a power chewer) she was totally engaged. We noticed right away that she was able to grate flakes off of it. A day or two later I dropped it on the floor and it broke in two. She is still chewing the pieces with our supervision and still enjoys it very much. I am giving 4 *s because other than the flakes and breaking they are as expected.

These chip off in large shards, could be dangerous.
My dogs love these, and these were the best value for money. However, I don't think I'll buy this brand again. This is the first brand that chipped off in chunks. Which, obviously makes it very scary, as if we don't watch the dogs carefully, they may ingest a large shard and could be very dangerous. I've never had a different brand do this.I read the reviews for this brand, and no one else mentioned this, so I'm not sure if I got a bad batch? Also, since it does chip off in large chunks, it makes them last much shorter than any other brand we've tried.
