Works very well. Our fountain is only about 3 feet tall. So, this pump is just a little too powerful for it. It is turned down all the way so I wouldn’t suggest getting it for a fountain that’s 3 feet tall or less.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this pump earned it. I bought the CWKJ 400GPH fountain pump for a small backyard water feature I was building from scratch. I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but this little workhorse blew me away. Setup was simple—plug-and-play right out of the box. It comes with a few different nozzles, which was great for getting just the right water effect I wanted. The suction cups hold tight, even in a deep ceramic bowl, and the pump stays perfectly in place without vibrating or shifting. What stood out most was how quiet it is. Once submerged, it’s virtually silent. You hear the water flowing, not the pump working—exactly how it should be. I’ve run it daily for several hours at a time, and it hasn’t overheated, clogged, or lost power. The flow rate adjustment knob is a nice touch. I turned it down slightly to keep the water from splashing outside the basin, and it responded instantly. The included power cord is long enough to reach a nearby outlet without using an extension. Only thing to be aware of: if you’re using tubing or trying to lift water up more than 5–6 feet, you’ll start to lose pressure. But for low-to-mid fountains, aquariums, hydroponics, or garden features, it’s perfect. After a few weeks of use, no signs of wear. I clean the intake once a week just to keep debris out, but other than that, this pump requires almost no maintenance. Bottom line: It’s powerful, quiet, affordable, and does exactly what it promises. If I ever build another fountain or need a second unit, I’ll be buying this same one again. Highly recommend.

Everything went perfectly from purchase (price) to delivery (same day) to install (seamless)!! Plugged it in at the lowest output setting and was way surprised. I thought the 440 would be ok at the lowest pump setting, but looks like I need to go with a smaller per gallon output. WHOOPS!!! Might keep it for my aquarium, but I’m probably purchasing a smaller pump for my fountain. Quiet as advertised (the water splashing on my pavers was pretty loud tho), suction was amazing (I had to refill the “pool” a couple times while trying to adjust tubes and whatnot to try to prevent burning the motor), and price was best out there for top reviews (Amazon top seller). I’d recommend this pump, for sure. But 20” of lift using 3/4-1/2” tubing made this too strong of a current for my needs. If I make amendments to the fountain and am able to use this pump, I will update!!

The price is fantastic compared to others we shipped for. Works so much better than others we’ve had. Very happy with the purchase.

It worked for a week or two just fine. It was pumping a bit more water out than I wanted for that fountain, so I adjusted it down. After a few days of that, it got really noisy and the water is only a trickle at the max setting. I’m just past the return period, so I am stuck with it. We’ll see how long it lasts before it completely stops working.

This little pump is adjustable for the volume of water you want pumped and works very well.

I bought this pump mainly because it is supposed to be adjustable. Turning the adjustment knob has no noticeable effect on the water flow. If you completely close the adjustment knob, the water stops flowing, but opening it even a small amount results in the same flow as when it is completely open. I will need to install a ball valve to slow things down. Suction and output are good if you are sure of what size pump you need. The speed is too much for my use, but I've not had any issues with performance. Though it would be nice if the nozzles had size labels, installation was easy.

J’ai installé cette pompe CWKJ dans ma fontaine, et je suis vraiment satisfait du résultat. Elle est assez puissante pour assurer un bon débit d’eau tout en restant très silencieuse, ce qui est essentiel pour profiter pleinement de l’ambiance apaisante. Facile à installer et robuste, elle fonctionne parfaitement depuis plusieurs semaines sans aucun souci. C’est un excellent achat pour tous ceux qui cherchent une pompe fiable et efficace.

Worked well for two summers but now water is barely coming out one inch up from the pump and it makes a rattle noise. I opened it to clean it just in case but it did not help.

been over a year and works great still... no complaints..

Is adjustable for more or less water flow. That running water sound never gets old. Very happy !!!
