Dish Soap

I’ve been on the lookout for a dish soap that is both effective and gentle on the skin, and Better Life’s Lemon Mint dish soap fits the bill perfectly. I have pretty nasty smell sensitivity -- things that other people can't even tell have a scent, I smell strongly and get headaches from. This soap has no scent that I can tell, and it cleans the dishes fine. Well done.

I am a fan of Better Life products and have been for a while, though this was my first time trying their dish soap. When I was reading reviews before purchasing it, I noticed that some reviews mentioned a weird phenomenon where the dish soap was thick and good when it was first opened, but after a short time, it became very thin and watery and not as good at lathering. This also happened to me! It was really good and thick and great at lathering in the first week, but after that, suddenly the soap has turned a more opaque white color and is super thin. I feel like I have to use twice as much(if not 3x as much!) for it to be the same amount of suds and longevity as before. Overall, are my dishes getting clean? Yes, they are. It just feels a bit wasteful and expensive for me to use this dish soap. After I am finished with my bottles of it, I think I will switch back to the Seventh Generation dish soap, as it holds up great and is it a better price point. I think I will still repurchase several other cleaning products from Better Life, as I have had much better luck with most of those and appreciate how non toxic they are.

The lemon mint scent is fresh without being overpowering, and it actually makes washing dishes a little more pleasant. What really sold me, though, is how gentle it is on my skin. I have sensitive hands that usually get dry or irritated with most soaps, but with this one, I don’t even need to wear gloves. It cuts through grease surprisingly well for a more natural formula, and a little goes a long way. Plus, knowing it's made with safer ingredients and free from harsh chemicals gives me peace of mind — especially in a house with kids and pets. Highly recommend if you want a non-toxic, effective dish soap that smells great and won’t wreck your hands.

I did not think for one second that this would work anything like my beloved Dawn soap that I have used all my life but it works even better! It leaves the plates squeaky clean. It does not leave any residue and leaves a gorgeous shine on all of my plates, especially the flatware. My hands are also feeling much better after using this. There's also one more thing that maybe not a lot of people would care about but I love that it rinses out of my sponge quicker than Dawn. The reason I like this is because I like to mop up the water from around the sink with my sponge after washing the dishes and if my sponge still has soap in it, I'm just spreading bubbles everywhere. I've also bought this dish soap for my mom who has been using Dawn all her life as well and she likes it better, too! I'm trying to switch out any cleansers that have chemicals with natural cleaners and all of the Better Life products that I have tried have worked better than the chemical products I used before. My lungs and hands are a lot happier because I use to cough a lot and get a stuffy nose every time I cleaned the bathroom with chemicals and my hands were always super dry. This has also worked on my mom's hands, too. She always has had peeling hands and when I went to her house the other day she showed me her hands and they were shiny they were so healthy. I will say that I have also switched her hand soap to a natural one so I think those two changes have helped her hands tremendously :)

This is great soap. It really is! When you first open it and use it it's thick, cuts grease, and you know everything is clean. You are able to get one drop at a time which helps if you're washing one item at a time. Then after you've used 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle, it's like a sleeper agent awakens and the whole rest of the bottle turns like water. So suddenly, while you're getting the same great clean, you're pouring out half of the bottle on one dish, instead of a drop at a time. So much so that both my husband and I asked each other if we added water to the soap. But without fail, this happens EVERY TIME with EVERY BOTTLE. So it doesn't last long after that initial 1/3.

I've been using Better Life products for years. Granite, dish, wood, floor, window...a lot of Better Life cleaners. I love this soap. I do use Dawn for the heavy cleaning of pots and pans so I can't talk about how it works on them, but I love this soap for everything else. It has a nice mild fresh scent, leaves no residue, and dishes are clean. I really like using it for my cat dishes, I know there will be no harmful product left on them. This soap is no longer sold near me so I tried the EverSpring brand, but I found that it solidifies near the spout so I have to regularly unclog it. This soap doesn't do that. I also really appreciate that the bottle was vacuum-sealed in plastic to keep it from spilling.

A good dishwasher detergent that cuts out the grease & rinse off easily. So far my wife's hand has no allergy effect whatsoever after using a whole bottle.

Does a great job and doesn't dry my hands as the regular dish soaps do, it is a great way to take care of your hands and environment! I don't really like the smell but it is better than not using this product. Edit: I actually grew to like the smell, just used up my first bottle and I'm definitely buying this again!

It is wonderful on my hands it is so gentle lovely I think I fond what I was looking for yes I thin I love to do dishes now

I do have a dishwasher that gets used twice a week for our family, so this jug lasted me approximately 10 months. That’s only about a $20 savings for our family, but I like the soap and it works well on grease. Another jug is on the way for this year.

This is a very clean & beautiful soap! Very gentle with no smell. The only problem is the packaging. It comes in a plastic bag but the tops are always not on properly so most of it leaks out into the bag, then the bag isn't spill proof,they leak all over out of the protective bag, so a third of your bottles are gone when you receive them and for that reason I gave it 4 stars but it is a 5 star soap!
