REDCAMP Waterproof Camping Tarp, Grey/Green 4 in 1 Multifunctional Tent Footprint for Camping, Hiking, Backpacking

I bought this to go under a Eureka Midori 1, and it works well at half the price of the brand specific product. The Midori, and many other solo tents, taper at the foot end. This tarp is rectangular which makes it necessary to fold some material under the tent on the narrow end. Based on other reviews, it may be heavier than the stated weight. It is definitely sturdy and the corners are finished very nicely. When I broke camp after the first use, there was some condensation on the under side which beaded up. No moisture penetrated the tarp. I down rated it for versatility only because its dimensions are so specific to its use under a solo tent. I believe it's an excellent alternative to a brand name footprint.

Used it for multi day hiking trip in Hawaii during the rainy season and worked perfectly fine. It rained every day but this tarp helped in keeping our tent dry. The material is definitely waterproof and it’s light so it easily fits anywhere and doesn’t add much weight. On the flip side, I can see it ripping much easier than a thicker, heavy duty tarp. Overall, I recommend this product but be careful when placing it over the ground to avoid anything sharp that could rip it.

This pairs perfectly with our 14 x 10 tent! It helped keep the floor of the tent dry during a very misty camping trip. The tent was covered in condensation, but we had no issues on the floor thanks to this footprint. It comes with a handy carrying sleeve and folds up nicely after use.

I really liked the ease of putting it back in its storage as well as the stitching. The stake out tabs held fast in the blowing winds we had. It tick d all the boxes for me.

This is a nicely made tent tarp. There eyelets are attached firmly and the stitching is solid. I expect this to last a while. I am very pleased with the quality of this item considering the price point was very reasonable. Previously, I had been using cheap home depot type tarps and I'm glad I made the move to a properly sized and lighter weight ground covering. It's easier to clean and fold up and basically just all over a better camping experience compared to the cheap tarps.

The Rakaia Designs 1 Person Lightweight Tent didn't come with a footprint and I had to guess at the correct size. The 83x36 fits as though it was specifically built for this tent. The material is heavy and appears quite durable. It folds down quite small and fits perfectly into the bottom of my Camelbak Rim Runner 22 pack. It probably isn't the best for the ultra-lightweight guys, but for normal people doing a bit of normal daypack/overnighters it is probably about as ideal as it gets. The tabs are very well stitched with very good materials and the grommets are very well set. I expect good longevity for this product and the price, in this guy's opinion, is more than reasonable.

These tarps are great quality and an excellent buy. Besides the product, the customer service of Redcamp is amazing! The original package came ripped open with three tarps missing. They immediately replaced them and tracked the order until I received the replacements. It has been a long time since I’ve seen Customer Service this good! I will definitely buy from them again.

well made tarp

I purchased this to cover the top of my bike storage tent as an added layer of protection. The tarp is exceptionally made for the price, and so far appears to be fully waterproof with no leakage. Has held up to multiple heavy wind storms and is still in new condition other than minor rusting around the grommets (this is to be expected as it is very rainy and close to the ocean where I am located). Overall excellent product. Definitely recommend.

Durable, yet surprisingly compact and light for its footprint size. It's still heavier than tyvek for a groundsheet. A trade off for it's better durability and more waterproof. For backpacking I use tyvek. But this goes with me for everything else.

Was 2 inches narrower than stated! If not for that would have been perfect and a great value! Also it is very robust, yet lightweight enough to bring along just about anywhere!

Highly Recommended! Technically this is a tarp to be put between the ground and a tent floor. However, I have been looking for a durable, lightweight emergency tarp for day hikes. One that could be used as a sunshade, temporary rain fly, configured as a stretcher, or overnight shelter. This tarp can do all those things, has good stitching, strong tie outs with grommets and loops for cordage. There is one double stitched seam with excellent taping. That's because there is one full length panel measuring 13" X 6'10". Full size as advertised 6ft X 6ft 10 inches. 13.5oz/385grams. I have a well used Red Camp poncho that I have been very satisfied with. This tarp looks like a winner too.
