Some assembly required
Its very pretty :) with that being said, I was a little nervous about putting it together because you have to connect wires! (All I could picture was grabbing my dog as I escaped a burning house)Actually, it was easier than expected and I felt quite accomplished! Take your time and reference the directions/pictures and it will go well.I'm happy to answer any questions!

Exactly What I was Searching For
I shopped for extendable, plug-in, inexpensive wall lamps for about five (5) months. An hour here, an hour there. Comparing styles, prices, features.This one doesn’t have quite everything I’d hoped for — adjusting any of the three (3) places involves loosening and the re-tightening the wingnut there. Rather than it having the ability for minor adjustments built in. However, a minor issue & if it’d been too important I’d’ve gotten more of a “gooseneck” style.This works EXTREMELY well. On the wall along my bedside.So when I’m sitting sideways on bed (or lying down facing away) it’s a really nice bright light coming from behind me. Perfect! For reading, writing, doing puzzles, even adult coloring books and reading the daily newspaper.And it’ll fold up and turn to be flat against the wall and out if the way.The “bell” of the lamp is highly reflective, enough so that I’ve gone down from a 60 watt equivalent LED to a 40 watt equivalent LED.Would definitely buy again!

Some Assembly Required
This is a great looking lighting fixture. Once I got it up on my wall it looks great, fits in well with the rest of my decor, and it adds a lot of light to my art space. If you are going to use it with the cord, it is a bit short and you should expect to have the light mounted within a few feet of the electrical outlet. It also takes a bit of assembly. I had never put together a light before and it didn't come with adequate instructions so I had to look up a video online but eventually was able to get it put together!

Difficult to change position of the arms
The arm is not designed to be adjusted. It can be done. Once adjusted several times it tend to slip if not tightened very forcefully. I am not using it at all. Mounting on a desk involved drilling hole into furniture.
