Didn't need a new coffee maker after all
I thought I needed a new coffee maker but replacing this part fixes everything. Occasionally the pin at the bottom bends and no longer punctures the bottom of the K cup. This new one works perfectly. Easy fix.

Haven't USED it yet....
Somehow, the housekeeper managed to put the original one into the disposal and turn it on! We couldn't identify this mangled piece of plastic, as no hot coffee's consumed in our home during the summer. It became clear when we had to be up before dawn one day and I tried to make a cup of hot coffee, which sprayed all over out of the Keurig. Anyway, weather's turned warm again (89 degrees over weekend), so, while the piece fit and looks perfect, just haven't had any desire for hot coffee. IF it works, will be SUCH a save from having to buy a completely new unit.... Had we tried it and it had worked, it would be 5 stars.
