We love love love this Lightning McQueen. It is SO COOL! It’s a decent size, bigger than my hand. We love the things he says and the sounds he makes and how he lights up. Best McQueen yet. 100% worth the money.

I was happy to try this product because our 2- and 5-year-old sons are huge fans of the Cars movies. Our older son has probably watched "Cars 2" a gazillion times, so Lightning McQueen toys are always exciting in our house. The first thing that stood out to me when we opened the box was the size. This toy is noticeably bigger than I expected (this is not the smaller diecast cars that are also made by Mattel), which made it feel like an even better value for the price. At around $21.59, I think you're getting a good value for the money. The overall build quality is excellent and exactly what I would expect from the brand. The plastic feels durable and well made, and it seems like it will hold up well to plenty of playtime. One thing I noticed is that there aren't any doors, hoods, or other parts that open. On one hand, that means there are fewer interactive features compared to some other large vehicles. On the other hand, it also means there are fewer pieces that can break off, which is a nice tradeoff for younger kids who can be pretty rough on their toys. The lights and sounds are definitely the highlight of this Lightning McQueen. There are multiple special effects that keep things interesting, and our 2-year-old especially loved pressing the buttons to activate them over and over again. Our 5-year-old enjoyed racing it around while acting out scenes from the movies, so it ended up being a hit with both of our sons despite the simpler design. With the lack of interactive features though, from a longevity perpsective, this toy feels like it is much better suited for our 2-year-old rather than our older son. Overall, this is a well-built, fun, and larger-than-expected Lightning McQueen toy with great lights and sound effects that kids will love. It offers good value for the money, especially at around $21.59, and has already seen plenty of playtime in our house. We would recommend this product!

Review of Mattel Disney and Pixar Cars Race to Celebrate Lightning McQueen With Lights & Sounds: This "large-Scale toy vehicle" is not die cast. It is made entirely out of plastic. The 10 sound effects play randomly by pressing on the 1 button on the roof. There is no way to select a specific sound. There are 2 LED light bulbs, 1 under the hood and 1 in the trunk that flash when the sound effect plays. There are no articulated joints in this car. The car doors do NOT open. The trunk and hood are also not openable. The body shell is molded from 1 single piece of plastic. The spoiler (rear wing) is a separate piece of plastic that is screwed into the trunk for a sturdy connection. The disappointing thing about this car are the wheels. They are entirely plastic. Even the tires are plastic, not rubber. Plastic and slick, the tires offer no traction. Lastly, despite the $20+ price, there is no remote control. This is not a motorized toy My best guess is this high price is do to all the licensing and royalties they have to pay to make a Disney Pixar Cars movie product. If you're a fan of Pixar's Cars and like larger sized cars, this is a good looking toy. Just be aware that while it look good, it lacks any doors that open and is made of cheap plastic. No metal. No rubber. Just plastic. Not counting the spoiler, the car measures 8 inches long (pic2). The battery compartment requires a mini screwdriver which is not included. Fortunately, it already has batteries pre-installed so you can use it right out of the box. In summary this is as described. Despite being ENTIRELY plastic, the car feels sturdy. The sound effects play at a fixed volume that cannot be adjusted. It can get tedious over time. However, this product is as described. There was no full advertising here so I cannot deduct points for the lack of articulated joints. The product never said that it has doors that could opens or more than just the 1 button to toggle the random sound effects. For a young kid, this is a good sized toy car. NOTE: I want to correct something I said in my video. The details are not painted. Everything is stickers placed over the shell (see last 2 pics). Overtime, stickers can peel off. Then again, a paint job can also be scratched off so, my feelings about using stickers for all of the car's detailing is mixed.
