ILIA - True Skin Serum Foundation (Formentera SF1, 1 fl oz | 30 ml)

Coverage: Unlike other hydrating foundations, this one dries down to a satin finish fairly quickly (I’d say 5-10 minutes). I actually loved that finish more than I thought I would because I’m a dewy girl typically. I got light coverage by dabbing the foundation on face and blending out. I got medium coverage when I dipped my kabuki into foundation and applied to my face. I haven’t tried building layers since I’m not a layer girl and light/medium coverage is my preference. Wear: I didn’t notice any creasing, but I did use their serum primer which should help with that. Honestly with light/med coverage, I find it difficult to see when makeup starts wearing off. I will say that I can normally see my nose pores after a full day of work, but they were still covered with this Ilia foundation, so that’s a good sign. Since I have dry skin, I don’t set my makeup with powder so my wear time is reduced. Side note, I’ve heard good things about the Ilia powder so I’m going to give it a shot. Fingers crossed that it’s another win. Hydration: More than anything else, I love how this foundation does not dry out my skin. It’s been years since I’ve used a foundation that didn’t leave me with dry spots on my nose and around my mouth within 2-3 hours. With Ilia, I have no issues with flakes. It’s an absolute game changer for me! One time, I actually forgot to apply moisturizer to my nose because I was rushing. Even then, I had just a few, tiny dry skin flakes on my nose AND it’s the middle of a winter. I was so impressed! Color: I recommend looking at the Ilia site for guidance on which foundation color is for you. I’ve heard some complaints that the color is dull, and before the Ilia foundation dried down , I was a little worried about that too. However, once it’s dry, it looks so naturally beautiful, like a healthier version of your own skin. For those that like more glow, I’ve seen some use Ilia highlighter serum under the foundation. I might try that in the future. Bottom line: I absolutely adore this foundation. It looks so good that I’m actually wearing foundation to work again. I haven’t done that in years because of the flakiness of my previous foundations. It may be on the pricey side, but it is worth it to me. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

This clean beauty foundation is my favorite. I have dry skin and it nourishes and moisturizes my skin, leaving it with a slightly dewy look and feel, but not overly so. It is light and not cakey and it looks natural. It unscented and has a silky finish. I highly recommend this product!

Color match: Ilia's great color match Moisturizing: I live in one of the driest states in US. My skin loves this makeup. Moisturizing yet states put the whole day. Gives a soft glowing finish.

A little pricey, but it’s worth it to have a clean foundation that works well. The coverage is not heavy at all so it’s more like a tint than a typical foundation, but l feel like it smooths out my complexion without making my face look cakey.

I'm torn with this product because I'm very fair skinned with a reddish tone in my face, this is the first foundation I've found that matches my skin tone and it does feel lightweight when on. HOWEVER, this product is very watery compared to most foundations so it feels like you're using a lot more of it. It also does not last all day and slowly leaves an undesired patchy look, even when pairing it with their brand of setting powder (which btw you WILL need unless you like looking dewy/oily). Overall, it's not worth $54 in my opinion.

I've spent hours upon hours researching non-toxic makeup. Finally decided to give this one a shot and I'm so glad I did because I love it. Goes on smooth and has good coverage. I also purchased their concealer and I love that just as much.

The lid was loose and wouldn't tighten. I put it in a drawer and forgot about it. Wish I'd have returned it. I'm elderly and not sure how to return it.

I got SF1 and love it. I have been looking for a clean foundation and this one has beautiful coverage and blends nicely
