The Quest for Deep Pockets - A Showdown Style Review
THE QUESTMy quest was to find joggers for lounging around at home, but I was having trouble finding any with deep enough pockets to keep my phone from falling out when I'm doing said lounging. I put some time into this quest because I had cracked the screen on my last phone when I was sitting at home and it slipped right out of my pocket.THE CRITERIA- deep pockets: my phone is 6" tall (~ iPhone 11 & 12)- light-weight- budget around $20- drawstring- cotton (60%+)THE CONTENDERSI had already checked a couple department stores with no luck, so for this test I ordered a bunch of random pants that seemed to meet most of the criteria:Amazon Essentials https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P7L18ZSRussell Athletic https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00719XLAOChampion https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073R28JZZJMR https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072YM9LG5CandyHusky https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DYB31XELater my wife saw me comparing pants and busted out her joggers that actually had deeper pockets than any of the ones I found. Unfortunately her brand doesn't sell Men's, but they do go up to XXL so I picked up a pair and I'm including them:Promover https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHPZX8CTHE RESULTSPocket depth rankings: (see pics)1. Promover 6.5"2. Champion 5.75"3. CandyHusky 5.25"4. Russell 4.75"5. Amazon 4.25"6. JMR 3.75"The CandyHusky was super lightweight and came in 3rd for depth but the pockets are sewed to the front of the pants which was a deal-breaker. I need pockets that are free moving so my phone can settle into a secure position. The Champions technically came in second for depth but the Promover pocket is much more narrow at the bottom so not all their depth was usable. I tested both with my phone and it was almost a dead heat. Since the Champions are lighter weight than the Promover I gave them the victory and I've picked up a couple pairs to keep. I'm going to keep the Promovers as well for wearing outside in colder months. Their women's XXL fit me great and are plenty long (I'm 6'1").THE CHAMPIONChampion

I really like these CandyHusky pants and I have bought nearly all ...
I really like these CandyHusky pants and I have bought nearly all the color options. I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam and these pants seem like they were made for a man my size and height. Great pants, very comfortable and cool, even here in hot Florida. One note of caution, though -- the colors not only bleed without stop, they hemmorrage dyes. The blues and reds are particularly prone to bleed copious amounts of dye. So, if you buy these pants be sure to wash and dry them separately from any other laundry unless you are willing to have whites turn blue, or red, or whatever color the pants are. I just wash them by themselves, wring them out and let them air dry on a rack. I don't even put them into the dryer because they are liable to leave dye residue in there. Otherwise, really nice pants.

Sturdy and well stitched.
These run slimmer (not leggings), but not baggy. The material is canvas-like, nothing a few washings won't soften up. They're great for dog and youngin' wrestling outside. Nothing is gonna rip open on you.

I love these pants but they run small...
These pants are great. Really nice fabric and well put together. However, they definitely run small and shrink so, after I washed them in cold water and line dried, they just don't fit anymore. I'm bummed because I really, really like how they look. Eh. I'll hang onto them for when I, *wink* lose a little weight.

Better than sweatpants in the summer
These arrived the first nice day of April, and the timing could not have been more perfect. Very lightweight and breezy, good length for someone with long legs (I'm all leg no torso), and pockets are a bonus. Will definitely be buying more in different colors.

Even though these pants are larger they kept the back tapered so you don't get a diaper bottom.
I'm on my third pair and even though they may look like PJ's I make it work. Mens summer clothes are horrible so you either venture out of the box a bit or your in "Dockers". Remove the bottom string for less of a pajamas feel but all and all they're a great buy and wash well. Don't cook them in the dryer and you should have them for a long time.

Wonderful
Ordered Men's instead of "womens" because the pinstripes are vertical (womens pinstripes are horizontal). They fit great, ease of movement and wear nice and light (heavy gauze-like) but sturdy. No problem in washer or dryer. Love the pockets and that they are cotton. Slightly scratchy-linen feeling, but I have extra sensitive skin.

Super comfortable, but fell apart
Definitely a pajama feel, and a great pair of knock-arounds. The elastic waist cinches enough to hold them up, but the drawstring (a bit short) gives extra security......BUT I wore them exactly 3 times and, removing them, noticed that the crotch seam had torn and the drawstring channel had shredded in the back.[Sigh] I guess I'll return them.
