Huge, authentic.
We were surprised at how big the mortar was. The pestle looks like it could be used as a beater’s bat in Quidditch. Our Cambodian-American DiL (who received it for Christmas) rates it as two thumbs up and authentic. Now we just need papayas to be in season so we can have papaya salad.

Authentic
My wife is Thai and really wanted a full size mortar and pestle like this. It is truly authentic and she uses it constantly for making papaya salad and condiments. The only issue was it has 2 small chips on the rim when we unboxed it, but frankly they are more an aesthetic issue than anything, it still does the I job, and we didn't want to return it as we realize that shipping anything ceramic through the mail is a crap shoot, and therefore we ultimately came out pretty good.

Lovely
We got a "seconds" quality kruk that was advertised to have hole inside but actually the bottom is too thin for me to use it as a kruk. That is unfortunate as I grind large quantities of spices. But it is a risk I took. It is very beautiful, just wish it worked. The description of its flaws was not correct.

It’s bigger than I thought, I went by looking at the picture. But when they say 8 or 9 inches it really is that big. Happy with it.
