Everything You Always Wanted to Know about God (But Were Afraid to Ask): The Jesus Edition

Witty and quite informative regarding the life and death of Christ.

Initially, I really enjoyed reading this book, then the Q and A format became somewhat nerve wrecking. It almost interrupted my understanding of points the author was making in the book. It was like watching a movie and people talking in the movie theater, making jokes or having a side conversations about something totally unrelated. However, I continued reading and it became easier to ignore the side conversations and focus on the main topic. Overall, a good read with good information and references to continue gaining knowledge about Jesus.

Funny. Profound. A breath of fresh air. This book is accessible and a quick read. It's written in a Q & A format, but the joke is that it's a conversation between Q and A. Anyway, it's fresh, funny, and profound.

Good read. I would recommend to all Christians and anyone searching to know God. Very practical and easy to understand. I have recommended it to my children.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It lays out the basic tenets of Christianity in simple language, language that can benefit either an established Christian or a novice. It does so with humor.

I have a deep interest in Christian apologetics and continually am finding new books that fascinate me on the topic. I also respect Metaxas, especially for his biography of Bonhoeffer. But, maybe it's because I have read so much already, this wasn't for me. I found the content to be quite good, even including some new thoughts for me. However, the style, apparently meant to make a sometimes daunting subject less intimidating for novices, was too cute. I recommend Lee Strobel's various "Case for . . . " books instead.

I didn’t love the Q&A part.

This goes fast but is presented in a way that anyone who is interested in the subject matter can experience a fun dialogue that brings the answers easily to light.
