Can we use it in traditional hearth/ stove..?

Yes the inner pot can be used to cook on stove or any other methods.

Can we cook vadi Matta rice in this. How long does it take to fully cook it?

Yes as per their instructions cook rice in the pot for 15 minutes then keep it in the thermal cooker for an hour then drain the water and if not serving immediately place it back in the cooker. It will remain hot.
