My new besties!
I love these pads. I found that I needed to place them on my feet somewhat precisely for the right balance of comfort and support. But give it twenty or thirty reps and you'll get the hang of it. I did. I was confused about a few points from reading the reviews, so let me tell you what I wish I'd read: these DO stick to the underside of your feet, if you put the sticky side against your skin. Don't worry -- they also DO come off very easily. Yes, they are reusable. No, you don't have to wash them, but you will want to, sooner or later. When you do -- just gentle soap and water -- let them air dry, and they will stick to your feet again just fine. Now, if you sweat a lot through your feet (and don't we all under the right circumstances?) they will lose adhesion to your skin. So, if you plan to sweat, I recommend combining each pad with an arch support band, which will help keep it in place. The left/right indicators seem backwards to me, which makes me wonder if the manufacturer expects you to stick the pads to your shoe rather than your feet. I don't see how that would work, but hey, I could be missing a trick. Me, I just ignore the right/left markings, and do what I need to do to support each of my metatarsal arches. With these under my feet, I can jog -- even sprint -- on my wood floor, barefoot, when before I could barely jog in place at all. I've used them when dancing long periods of time, and they really help my feet hold up to demand. When it comes to my feet, price is not a big issue -- I'll do what I need to do. So the fact that these are not expensive is, yeah, awesome, but that they work so well is the really big payoff.

Discreet and a relief!
I got these for metatarsal pain. The felt ones you can buy, worked well for me, but with sandal weather coming, I didn't want obvious pads on my shoes when I remove them in public settings. Plus sometimes it is hard to find the correct placement within a boot so the option of sticking it directly on my foot eleviates that dilemma. And so I decided to try these. They worked quite well. No pain (which was crippling) and they stayed on my feet even with rigorous use doing a construction job. I stuck them directly on my foot and wore hiking boots. Next I will try putting them on the boot and keep them there. I don't think my skin liked the adhesive for 8 hours, but I didn't have a severe reaction, just some soreness of the skin after I removed everything. Don't think that would be a problem for short term use and less rigorous situations. They do what they say. The cushion is just right...any thicker would be obtrusive. They are about the same thickness as the 1/4" felt ones. The thinner, outer rim of the pad is wider than the perimeter of the felt pads. I wear a women's size 6-1/2 wide and it covered almost the entire ball of my foot and then some, so for an average foot, they should protect the area needed. The thick center is large enough to target the metatarsal bone in most feet I believe. And it's so nice and soft....soothing to that vulnerable area. I recommend these. Of course everyone's situation is unique so it may not address every medical condition, but for my foot pain, they really worked! PS....after trying for a couple more days, when I was really working hard with double socks and new hiking boots, my feet sweated and of course, the pads that were directly stuck to my foot slipped out of position. They would stick fine for normal use like going to a lunch wearing sandles, but for construction or hiking all day, it think it is better to stick it to your shoe. I still like them.

Comfortable and so far seem to be doing the job
I had forgotten my insoles while on a trip and after 1 week my toes on my right foot foot felt broken. My metatarsals had undergone too much pressure and the toes were swollen. After 3 weeks, even after putting my insoles back into my shoes, my toes still felt broken and I could not walk without a lot of pain. I ordered these pads with the hope that would help. The pads come in pairs , left and right. They adhere quite well to my insoles inside the shoes and are very comfortable once I get them in the right position. I believe, after 3 or so days, my foot feels 50 percent better and that is after golfing a few times plus going to the gym as well as a typical day. They will not adhere to my skin, so barefoot does not work with them. Overall, I am quite pleased.

Experiment to find cushion that works best for particular problem.
DUrable, & adhere well to sole of foot. Would also stick to insole of shoe, if one wanted to use the that way (which might be the best way, leaving one set in each pair of shoes - though I don't think this is what manufacturer intends. Sticky side collects bits of pedal detritus, and is difficult to clean, though one can wash it. Stuff sticks determinedly. DOes cushion area of foot's sole. For problems I personally have with my feet, after trying about 5 possible cushioning items, I find Fomibrobri metatarsil pads to be most helpful. Probably best to try a variety of items & find which works best for yourself. Each case is likely different.

Very comfortable and reusable.
Very happy with these metatarsal pads. It takes a few tries to find the correct spot and I have been using the same two pads (right and left) for several weeks. I wash them each night with soap and water let them dry on the counter and put the plastic strip back on overnight before using them again the following day. Of course, I don't have problems with sweaty feet so the work perfect for me and takes the pressure off my metatarsals. However, I am also using better insoles with arch support.

NO GOOD for Metatarsalgia unfortunately,
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for metatarsalgia. Surround, flat piece is hard and not flexible and raised section actually hurts my feet more than nothing at all. No good, not worth buying. No idea why people are giving 4**** reviews! Try Dr Scholl's, Walgreens own brand or 'Foot Petals' are pretty good too. Not these sadly.

Helps with ball of foot pain
My orthotics havenโt been cutting it with recent pain in the balls of my feet and I had an upcoming trip planned with plenty of walking on the itinerary. These were very helpful since I was short of time to have the orthotics remade. They are easy to use, and very comfortable. Our trip to Morocco included a camel ride in the dunes in the desert where my shoes got filled with sand and these gel pads, of course, had some sticking to them. No problem, though, as it was easy to wash them off with soap and water and once they were dry they were useable again. They are also helpful in shoes that I canโt use my orthotics in. They stick to the shoes or the ball of the foot. Sometimes they slip out of position, but itโs easy enough to reposition them. They arenโt a permanent solution to my foot issue, but wow, they really saved the day(s) on my trip! And they are so inexpensive, which makes it a no brainer to give these a try if you need cushioning for your feet.

Used to be good qualityโฆ Not Anymore
I have ordered these multiple times. And the first couple times i raved about them. I feel like every time I order them. The quality is less and less. Unfortunately I will not order from them again. I only gave it a 2 because my sock helps it stay in place itโs does give comfort on your feet. But if you are going to wear any shoes then are not closed toe. These are not it
