Cool product however bolt failed after 2 days. Probably a one off. Never dropped or even disassembled. Unfortunate

This thing is amazing. I LOVE copper and the way it gains a patina over time so I’m kind of obsessed with copper as a material for EDC/daily use items whenever possible so I’ve been wanting a copper pen for quite some time and when I first looked into copper pens I came across this but it seemed so expensive I ended up buying a much cheaper “copper” pen instead. Turns out the cheap alternative wasn’t actually solid copper but cheap metal with a “copper” colored finish and clear coat sealing it so it will NOT gain any patina over time (which is the whole point of a nice copper item in my opinion) and with daily wear it started to chip off showing the cheap material underneath. Annoyed by the cheap alternative I finally decided it was time to just go with what seemed like the best option of exactly what I wanted, a simple copper pen that was ACTUALLY made of solid copper with high quality machined parts and a lifetime warranty. The price still seemed steep but I figured I’d give it a go and at least I could return it if on first impression it wasn’t up to expectations. WELL… let me tell you, when I first opened up the box and pulled this thing out I instantly knew this was EXACTLY what I was longing for. I use a pen every day of my life and I like to spend a little extra on things that will last me a lifetime and look/feel good doing it, and this is 100% that pen! First impression was the weight, this thing feels SO nice in the hand, I believe the copper version is the heaviest of the material variants offered and it is beautifully balanced and just feels amazing in the hand. The titanium clip is really nice as well with a very strong tension/snap to keep it secure clipped in a pocket which is exactly what I want for a pen of this price. I previously had a Fischer Space Pen that was only $30 or so but still not a cheap pen and it was the “traveler” model or something with a cap that had a clip on it that I kept on my keyring and one day I picked up my keys and realized the pen itself had fallen out and I was left with just the cap and I was super bummed, so with a pen of this price the last thing I want to do is lose this thing but I feel VERY secure with this thing clipped into my pocket I don’t see it slipping out on accident at all. The Schmidt P900 refill it comes with feels great, I’ll probably play around with trying other refills but I’m in no rush as this feels quite nice and much smoother than the Fischer Space Pen refills I’ve been used to recently. The bolt action design is awesome and very fidget friendly with a nice pop closing it and very smooth opening it, feels like a nice spring to match the rest of the quality materials. The machining of the screw threads is also super nice you can definitely feel the quality when taking it apart and reassembling it, if there was any crunch at all it would be unacceptable at this price point but I’m totally satisfied and feel the pricing is valid for the level of quality. Overall I hope to never lose this thing and it will be in my pocket every day from now on and I can’t wait to see how the copper patina develops. If you use a pen everyday and love copper and high quality things that are made to last, look no further this thing is exactly what you want. You will NOT be disappointed. I don’t write reviews often but as you can see by the length of my review on this I’m ecstatic about this thing I can’t put it down it just feels so nice to mess with even when not writing it’s just a beautiful creation to behold, the next time someone needs a pen to sign a check or something if you whip this thing out you’re going to start a conversation for sure!

Very high quality pen, feels rock solid on hand. I'm looking forward a base line slim bolt action version in the future.
