Saves your palms and wrist
I've been using this brand for years. I replace them every 2 years because I skate frequently. After opening and closing the velcro thousands of times it becomes less secure. Also falling on them and washing them does eventually cause them to wear out. Note: the size small got significantly smaller so now I'm a medium. My hand size hasn't changed.

Skeptical on durability.
The product looks just like the picture. I purchased a small size following their sizing chart. The guard fits well on my hand and wrist. I purchased this with the understanding that it will provide my palms better protection vs wrist guards. This doesnt appear to have any wrist support. The wrist strap itself just supports the guard making it secure and has good range of mobility. The inside padding feels nice and thicker than wrist guards. The plastic protection covers my entire palm area however the above palm portions of my hand are exposed, which is fine because i had more of an issue of slapping or slamming my palm to the floor during unexpected slips and falls off skateboard. I think this will be more beneficial than wrist guards for my purposes. I fell once on it from a pebble stop and it took light scuffing. To my surprise my already injured and badly bruised palms did not feel a significant impact nor worsened my injuries. I attribute this to the extra padding the palm covers adding better shock absorption. Needless to say im happy with this. My only potential concern is the longevity of the product. It feels okay but with the scratches and scuffing from one fall, im not sure how long this will last. If i have to choose between a short lasting product and badly bruised painful palms, ill spend the $16 any day over the latter. Wrist guards dont help much with palm falls unless you actually land right on the bumper and the padding in between is weak. Every fall with wrist guards my palms have felt it and not in a good way. Also, make no mistake neither these nor wrist guards will prevent bone injuries if you land with your hands/arms extended.

The are amazing, and that they fit just as they should. On any hand.
Love it, I have an electric skateboard that has the potential to go 25mph! I get scared going 10mph on it sono go about 8-9 and when I fall I needed wrist protecting, so I bought these before I ever tried the thing, and ever since, Iโve fallen twice. Wearing these. I used them to slide a bit on my hands rather than my body , and it was like falling with such grace, I fell and instantly thought โmy knuckles are gonna screwed up if my wrist lands wrongโ and I did that open your hand and bend them thing, and my wrists just floated as that hard plastic took the scraping my hands wouldโve endured, and amazingly, no hand injuries ! Just dirty scuffed up shoes and scraped knee. Amazing wrist guards;

Perfect. I don't get hot!
I roller skate and was hesitant to get wrist guards because I hate feeling restricted and hot. But I fell and hurt my wrist and realized I'm to old to break my wrist roller skating. These are perfect. Not to restrictive and they don't get too sweaty. I have since fallen multiple times and they have saved my wrists every time. If you have small hands you may need to add a little extra Velcro to them.

Decent, not great
5'7" Man, 130lbs. (1.7m, 60kg) I bought a large and they only fit me over gloves. The pads are solid and protective from slides, but don't offer much wrist bracing for hard impacts. Also the two strap design makes them take a long time to put on. The straps slide out of the little holders very easily, making it so you have to thread them back thru. It just takes a long time, and with how much gear you need to ride an electric unicycle the extra time spent on these can be frustrating. Im gonna buy wrist guards with one strap and better wrist bracing instead.

They work ๐
Ordered these after I was tired of busting up my hands while skating the hilly Colorado sidewalks and roads. Chilly in cold weather (warranting the addition of mittens during the winter months, which actually works) while being comfortable in blistering heat, they're ultimate palm-savers. I was once going what felt like 30-40 mph down a steep neighborhood hill on my quad skates when some resonant frequency was hit and my right foot just had to sing along. The result (as relevant to the review, ignoring the gore) is what you see in the image attached. About 5% of my left side remained on the road while I feebly rolled home, but my hands were totally unscathed. It took weeks before I regenerated enough of that 5% to lift and go out skating again. Thanks to these wrist guards, though, my hands were spared. Several months later, these wrist guards remain in working condition while the scars remind me not to try anything as stupid again. 10/10. Worth the investment.

Worth the premium cost
These wrist guards have been great in the 90F/32C and up heat while skating in July in my city. They are light and comfortable. Air flows through them well. I recommend you measure both of your hands before you choose your size. My right hand is wider than my left. I bought the medium size but I think now I would have been fine with a large. My Velcro strap just makes a complete fastening on my right hand. I drew over the no-name company advertising on all my gear with a black permanent marker. It turned out okay. I have not fallen at speed so I cannot speak to the effectiveness of these guards In a fast moving situation. Nevertheless, I think they are worth the premium price.

โBrand new Itemโ arrives with scratches
As much as itโs a brand new item which I had ordered, the item came with scratches. Not to mention, the item took forever to arrive with delivery date changed a few times!

Nice for shock absorbing for Ice Skating
I have recently started Ice skating and a few times I hurt myself to the point of broken hand and arm. So what I was using before finding this stuff was a kneepad on top of my gloves so it can reduce the shock. I found these and I was going to use in under my gloves which did not fit, so I used it over my gloves which are black as well. They are AMAZING, I did not have even a small bruise compare to what I have suffered before having them. My hands are small and it perfectly goes around my ski gloves as the adjustment are two velcro bands one around the wrist and one around the fingers, so I believe it easily would fit most hand sizes.

Great for skateboarding, has saved my wrists many times
Bought these for skateboarding, only a beginner but they have saved me from landing directly on my wrists multiple times. Have the scratches on the guards to prove it. Falls happen a lot as I'm learning and I feel grateful the guards have prevented serious injury. The hard plastic part sends the impact elsewhere and I'm good to get up and go again.

Great quality. Fit well!
Got these for when my kids ride their electric scooters. I was worried that it might inhibit them from being able to press the hand break because it limits your wrist movement but ended up being fine. Itโs made really well. I was actually impressed.
