Nibbles Numbers

My Grandson loves all the Nibbles book, its the first book he asks for and he loves counting the numbers and holes in the book putting his finger through the holes.

Very enjoyable rhyming number book. My daughter loved it from 3month on xxx

My son loves this book! He finds it hilarious. It engaged him successfully with learning number names.

After seeing a review for Nibbles Numbers I knew it was a book that would be perfect for the children. I love books that help children learn without them even noticing but I had never found a number book I particularly liked as they always tend to be just that, a book of numbers, and I get tired of reading that without a story and the children will get fed up after a while too.I have read stories with a focus on numbers but the numbers still haven't been bold enough for the children to notice amongst the pictures and that is why this book is so fantastic. The story is about Nibbles, a monster who is eating through the book. It is a simple story but it works well.On each page there is a large number, Nibbles and some holes in the book which represent the number on the page. I think this is brilliant as the children get to see the monster but they aren't too distracted that they don't notice the number. The children particularly enjoyed seeing all of the holes in the book, they love to see things like this in books as it's different and stands out to them and by being able to count the holes where Nibbles has bit through allows them to work out the number on the page which means they could read it by themselves if they wanted to.The children loved this book and were excited to work out and shout out which number Nibbles had eaten through on each page. I am sure after a few more reads it'll help them learn the numbers 1 - 10 with very little effort. A fantastic book to learn numbers along with a fun short story of a mischievous monster!
