No other can compete
Out of all the taro blends ive tried so far this one wins hands down I use it for making ice cream, cakes, boba, mochi, frosting you name it. Its very versatile for baking and its the only product I use for taro flavoring it tastes just like the boba shop taro flavor. It comes as a very fine powder and on the back of the bag if gives you instructions how to make certain beverages for boba and other drinks.

If you're a fan of taro and coconut, this is bomb!
As a busy husband and father of 3, trying to stay healthy is a constant goal and sometimes a hard one. I'm a huge fan of doing as much as I can at home and not going out wasting money, especially when it comes to food; wether that be eating out, going to coffee places, smoothie shops etc. That crap adds up! So I try to cook / prepare / make all my stuff at home. My biggest constant gripe is smoothies. I love a good protein smoothie, but there's only so many times you can have a protein powder of choice blended with bananas / strawberries / peanut butter etc, before that gets old AF. So boy was I stoked when I found these powders ready to throw in. And I gotta say, this one, the Taro blended is by far the best tasting powder mix I've had, I would argue even better than the real thing. I mean, c'mon, who has time to go buy actual taro root and coconuts, prepare it, blend it all up and all that... if you do, more power to you, cause that's not this guy. It's so easy to mix, and adds a whole new level to a otherwise boring protein smoothie. And with how many flavors they offer, you can legit have a different smoothie every day of the week. I just do oat milk, protein powder (I prefer Optimum Gold Standard Vanilla), this powder mix, ice and blend away. Sometimes I'll throw in some boba pearls (tapioca balls) and it's like a full on protein packed boba drink! I absolute love this stuff and have already bought it several times and various flavors and so far every flavor I've purchased has been great. But this specific one, the Taro Blended is my favorite. There is one caveat though, it's not exactly low in calories. So if you're on a restricted caloric intake you gotta take into account that after your milk, protein and this (if you do what the serving size suggest, most of the time I find that just a little bit over half of the suggested amount of powder is enough) you're going to be looking at a fairly high calorie shake. If you mess around with your milk base and protein powder, and all that, you can probably keep it sort of low. Besides the high calorie and what some may consider too much sugar, this stuff is great. I would definitely not suggest this as a "diet" powder mix, but mixed with the right fitness programming and overall daily food choices, this can make even the most boring of "diets" sustainable. But for real, stop waiting and try this stuff out now!

This review will better your quality of life
First off, I don’t review many things because honestly I usually don’t care enough one way or another. But this is one of the exceptions. I love nearly every flavor of bubble tea I’ve had and often experiment at home making it without powder mix. But when it comes to instant, Taro is my favorite go-to; there is never a time my brain thinks “meh i’m not feeling that flavor today”. I feel the same of black sesame but that’s a little more labor intensive and i’ve never seen a premade mix. So I’ve tried many brands of taro drank. I used to burn through a lot of another well known brand that comes in a yellow bag especially, and theirs is great too, but the first time I tried Angel brand they had my loyalty. I can’t even describe what exactly makes it different, but the flavor is just so full and perfect in a way that hits the spot every time. And considering it costs the same or less than other brands by weight (other brands are usually a Kg, this is 3 pounds so remember your math skills), the choice is a no-brainer. But here’s the part that will change your life. Are you ready? Just now I was making pancakes, and out of curiosity I added the same amount of this powder as i would in a 16 oz glass to the remaining 8 oz of pancake batter (three 25cc scoops, or about 5 tablespoons). And although I’m currently full I am daydreaming about getting hungry again so i can eat some more. I’ve even had taro flavored pancake mix before that was excellent, but this…. Pancakes made with Angel brand taro bubble tea powder warm my soul with the power of a mother’s love. My life is that much richer now just for having discovered this astounding trick. Whatever you’re doing right now, whatever you have planned for the week, just drop or cancel everything and get yourself a tummy full of taro pancakes. Even if you’re one of those pseudo hipsters that pretends to hate bubble tea, either to be different or because you mistakenly think bubble tea is the garbage starbucks serves (and ergo believe mochi is a kind of ice cream), there is no reason not to make every pancake taro for all the rest of time. Deep in your heart you will know this is true.

Very Yummy but sweetness and creamer taste are stronger than the taro flavor!
This is a boba mix I’ve definitely tried at some boba shops! It’s very purple, creamy, and sweet! I do put extra powder because I like to have a strong taro flavor which I feel that this mix doesn’t have unless you put a generous serving of it! I like it generally and I’ve enjoyed having it several times since I got it! I just wish the taro flavor was stronger compared to the cream flavor! I made it with real milk and with almond milk and it works great with both! I generally put half a cup of powder on 8 big cubes of ice and one cup of milk! I know I make it strong, and it’s quiet unhealthy, but it’s my treat to myself! It tastes great as a slush or as a milk tea!

Gosh this is delicious
So this is my second time getting this drink, the first time was at a local cafe and I liked it so much that I peeked around to see how they made it, I saw this the bag with the light blue same as this one. Some searching around and found this and ordered! Just made it on my own and it was the same, maybe a little thicker, and sweeter as I made mine with milk and the cafe probably just used water. It was also a bit too sweet but I have a sensitive sense of taste, but I will add about half of what is instructed. When I opened the bag it smelled of sweet vanilla-y cupcakes. It was very delightful, and the warmth of the scent almost confused me. I felt like was in a bakery. If I were to describe the flavor, I would say it’s like a warm sweet potato topped with a generous amount of maple syrup or honey, with hints of coconut. It’s a bit earthy which helps it not be sugary only. I drank it cold, but the flavor is so warm and welcoming and made me want to get cozy in a blanket. I’ll admit I haven’t tried the real root vegetable so I don’t know how true to taste this is, but it is extremely delicious! I’m going to see what other things I can do with the mix, maybe I can add it in to the mochi waffle recipe I found. I definitely am happy with my purchase, but play around with the proportions of mix to liquid, I definitely prefer it on the lighter side.

Portions are way off, but it's tasty
I bought this to save some money for all the times I'd want to buy from a boba shop. I've had taro drinks from a number of shops around me and this powder tastes pretty much identical to the flavor I've come to love. It is definitely delicious, 10/10. My only complaint is that the recommended instructions to make the drink is way off. I always ordered my taro drinks 100% sweetness and in a 20oz shaker, I used 4 tablespoons and got the flavor I love. 5 tablespoons should be more than enough to satisfy those who like their drinks very sweet. The instructions on the back of the bag say to use 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) per 16oz shaken iced drink. I don't even want imagine what that'd taste like. It's weird to me because with my tasting, the nutritional facts is correct; 1/4 cup of the powder fulfills a serving. Tip for making the drink, no matter hot or iced: I think you should definitely mix your powder portion to a bit of hot water to properly dissolve the granules. I tried making the drink in a shaker and it does still taste good, but a lot of the powder did not dissolve at all; though the bag says it would be fine to cold shake alone. If you want to save money on the same yummy drink you love getting, I recommend this brand.

Tastes just like the boba shop's
I knew what I was purchasing when I bought this. I'd read the description, saw the customer review photos, and still... There's some wild feeling to be associated with what is, truly, a GIGANTIC bag of taro powder in your hands. It's enormous, and I love it. You can drink SO much taro with this. It's worth every penny - more, maybe, if you're used to buying small tins of ceremony-grade matcha for roughly the same price. This is very tasty and smells fantastic - too sweet, even for my sweet tooth, if you follow the recommendations on the back... But of course, you can adjust that however much you please. It's YOUR taro powder, now! Throw instructions to the wind - a new world is opening up before you. This is not just a taro powder - this is a creamy, very sweet version that you'd usually associate with bubble tea. Be wary if you're looking for something more basic and thus more versatile, since this may not be what you expect. I'm delighted with this purchase. Next on the list is to get some tapioca pearls... Though this is plenty tasty with just milk and water, too!

Good enough, but the Tazo tastes cheap like a Birthday Cake Mix
I was really hoping this brand would be a high quality Tazo Milk Tea Mix for making Boba Tea with, but compared to the other brand I bought of a more premium Tazo powder (which had tazo towards the top of the ingredient list, compared to this brand which has it more towards the middle, meaning less of it more than likely proportionately). It tastes ok, and most people would be happy with it, but it isn't Taro Root powder alone. It is an odd blend with little blue dots inside of the package within the overall light pink powder. I had to use a lot more of this brand's powder than the other one I bought (I bought two Tazo powders to compare and contrast). This one wasn't homogenous unlike the more premium brand (similar price but for a smaller 2.2 lb bag of Taro Milk Tea Powder) If you are getting into Boba Tea or Milk Teas, I would say this brand is good enough to get into their various flavors as they have many (which is why I was so excited), I might buy their green tea flavor before judging the entire brand based on just their Taro flavor alone.
