Works Perfectly as Advertised, Great for My NAS!
This single M.2 NVME to PCIe 4.0 X4 adapter works perfectly as advertised. I used it for my new NAS build with the ZimaBoard 2 1664. I used a 3D-printed bracket made from ABS to mount the NAS into a 10" mini-rack. I had to remove the I/O bracket since my 3D-printed rack mount case did not have a way to accommodate it, but the adapter board works perfectly without it. I used standard motherboard standoffs with the holes in the PCB to secure the board to my 3D-printed case. The ZimaBoard 2 recognized the SK-Hynix PCIe 3.0 SSD instantly with no issues, and I am using it to store the server's operating system, docker containers, and virtual machines. The two additional SATA SSDs are in RAID1 for speedy network storage. The included heat sink combined with the two PWM server-grade fans in the bottom of the mini-rack are plenty to keep the drive cool. I rarely see the drive temperature go over 30ยฐ Celsius. I paid less than $10 for this adapter card, and in my mind the value is unbeatable. I highly recommend this adapter card. It is just plug-and-play. No extra configuration or drivers required.

Works great in servers
I've installed a few of these in my servers. They work great and I haven't had any compatibility issues (R330 and R730 is what I've put them in). Great speeds and easy to install. I have tried some others and they wouldn't ever show up, but this one works without issues.

Great Adapter, But the LED is Really Bright
This GLOTRENDS PA09-HS NVMe to PCIe adapter is nearly perfect. It works flawlessly, delivering full PCIe 4.0 speeds with no bottlenecks, and the included heatsink does a solid job keeping my SSD cool. Installation was easy, and the build quality feels premium. However, the red LED is ridiculously bright. Itโs not just noticeableโitโs blinding in a dark room. If your case has a window, expect it to glow like a warning light. A simple dimmer or an option to turn it off would have been nice. I ended up covering it with tape to make it less distracting. โ Pros: Works perfectly, no speed loss Solid build quality Heatsink keeps temps under control โ Cons: The super-bright red LED is annoying No way to disable or dim the LED Would I buy it again? Yesโbut Iโd be ready to cover up that LED.

Works perfectly in 10-year-old Z97 computer.
Used GLOTRENDS PA09-HS M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0 X4 Adapter to install a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD in my 10-year-old computer build that is sporting an ASUS GRYPHON Z97 motherboard and Intel i7-4790K CPU. Been running a Samsung 1TB SATA 850 Pro SSD for ten years with no issues at all but, need more hard drive space. I knew going in this was on the edge of working at all but had to give it a shot. A new 2TB Samsung SATA drive is three to four time more expensive than this newer Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 drive. The Z97 only support PCIE 3.0 so I knew before getting started I wouldn't get the full speed out of the drive, if this worked at all, but it would at least be a little faster that the SATA drive it was to replace. After installing the adapter and drive I booted PC as normal. Device manger showed the new devices installed. Running the latest version of Samsung Magician software showed the new drive as available for data migration. It performed the migration on the fly in 45 minutes. Next, I turned off the computer and disconnected my old drive. Went into the BIOS settings, and the new drive showed in the boot menu. Selected the drive and the computer booted right up with the new drive. More as an experiment than a necessity I noticed the drive was setup with old school MBR partition table so decided to upgrade the file system to the more modern GTP partition table using MiniTool Partition Wizard 12. After doing so the computer would not boot until I set the boot mode in the BIOS to UEFI mode by disabling fast boot mode. Computer boots right up and all is well! Also, I didn't use the included heat sink as according to the Samsung Magician software the drive is running well within specs averaging 90-100ยฐF without it. Nice to be able to squeeze more life out of this old computer that is still plenty fast for what I use it for. I highly recommend the GLOTRENDS PA09-HS M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0 X4 Adapter with M.2 Heatsink for M.2 NVMe SSD.

Good
I'm using this with an intel optane SSD, and works flawlessly. I think the rubber bands are a little too tight for a thin SSD with only one "NAND" chip.

Works better than expected. No real issues but I do have a warning for installers.
Glad I chose to save some money and grab this product instead of the more expensive ones. It works better than I thought it would. My only issue was with the install process of the heatsink. I also have some advice for the instructions that were included. The instructions warn you about using the metal clips if they touch solder points. I bought a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB to go with this. I looked on the back and didn't see any exposed solder points. When trying to get the metal clip on I slid it from the end. It scratched the board. I could see exposed copper. The solder points are actually painted over, and didn't realize this. I removed the metal clip and was lucky the my component still worked. I used the elastics provided instead. I suggest that the manufacturer add to instructions "Do not slide metal clips because it will scrape the surface. Instead, clip on one side and clip over the top for the second side." Note, using the metal clips will scratch the heatsink if anyone cares about that. I would suggest to just use the rubber elastic bands and forget about the metal clips. My second install advice for installation is to remove only one side of the sticky thermal pad at a time. Don't remove both sides at the same time or you will be getting your fingers all over the sticky stuff. Remove one side and get it centered and alights and stuck to the chips. Then remove the second side carefully as to not pull the whole this off. Then put the heatsink on it. Another piece of advice I have is to check your Motherboard PCI Express information in your motherboard manual. Your Motherboard might share lanes between different slots. So be aware that even though you might have a physical 16x slot, it doesn't mean the slot will run at 16x. For example, my Motherboard has a 16x slot that will only run at 4x, and if you are sharing with lanes with another slot, you might not even get the 4x. I attached two screenshots showing these limitations of the Motherboard I have. I chose the PCIEX4 for this adapter so that I wouldn't mess with the bandwidth of my graphics card. (And also because I have a better cooling option on lower slot) For my experience with this adapter, I have better than expected results. I get better IOPS than the one directly on the Motherboard's M.2 slot. Though MB/s is slightly lower. I installed this right above my PSU, which has a fan in it. So it runs pretty cool at 27C compared to the Motherboard's M.2 drive running at 43C (51C too). There is a bright red light that illuminates NVMe on the adapter. Attached two screenshots of SAMSUNG Magician software to show the temperature and performance benchmark comparison. It's not exact apples to apples, so you need to leave some room for error. A 500GB drive is on the Motherboard's M.2 slot right near the CPU. The 500GB drive has no heatsink/cooling dedicated to it. The 500GB drive is a few years old. The 2TB drive is new and is connected to this adapter. The 2TB drive has the heatsink installed and is about 15mm away from the PSU fan that pulls air down and out the back of the case. Both show as PCIe Gen. 3 x 4 and use the NVMe Driver from Samsung.

Easy Install, works with 0 effort. Did not need drivers or any software. Plug and play
I bought this to expand my overall storage space. I had 2 single 1TB drives and a 500gb drive. As new games are coming out I wanted the additional space without having to remove the 500gb nvme. For the $19 cost to place this below my GPU and still keep the 500gb (for 3d printing models only) this was perfect. Added a WD Black850X 2TB to the Mobo nvme slot and installed the 500gb to this pcie adaptor. works like a charm. No software to install and no drivers. CPU recognized it right away.

Arrived quickly. Works as intended.
I used it for my new SSD (The KIOXIA ๅ ่ต SSD 1TB NVMe M.2 Type 2280 PCIe Gen 4.0ร4) since my Aurora R11 only had one slot for a NVME M.2 to go into, which was for my OS SSD. I ended up putting my OS SSD into this adapter and using the built-in slot for my new SSD. (To take advantage of the PCIE 4.0 speed) It works great and I have never had a problem with it. It comes with a little LED light in it, so you can check if it is powered/slotted correctly. The heatshield+gel works good too. It arrived the day after I ordered it as well, which was great, since I needed it quickly.
