BILCO Size C Basement Door (Sandstone)

nice door was delivered on time, the old Bilco door was 40 years old and needed to be replaced, still make the same size door, with a couple of upgrades. the gas cylinders does make it easier to open and close door.

They took a while but arrived in good condition. Factory packaging is well padded and strong, considering this typically arrives by common freight. Amazon only had one color, but that's fine, they can be painted.

Great product. Delivered on time and everything in order and in excellent shape. I replaced my old bulkhead with this new one and it looks great. Saved a bundle over having a contractor do it!

Installs easily, looks great, works very well, but... after one day of rain the edges of the bulkhead started to rust. The powder coating is apparently very thin and poor. The rust is not in the few places that were scratched during installation. Some of those are fine and a few of those small spots are also starting to rust. This new bulkhead was to replace a bulkhead that took 25 years to rust through. My confidence in this is shot after one week.

Well made, no shipping damage, all the parts were there, easy to install

Got the powder coated basement door which doesn't need to be painted and after about six months it is starting to rust. Not worth spending the extra money for the powder coating.

Covered a stairwell Door keeps out debris and is sealed to be water tight.
