I read some good and some bad reviews on this. Most of the bad seemed to indicate the hollow handle can fill with water and leak out onto the cheese. It's small enough that it can be quickly and easily hand-washed, so it should avoid that issue for me.As for the cheeses, it's the perfect width for producing very thin slices of partial skim mozzarella bricks and sharp cheddar bricks.Another complaint people had was that it "tears" or causes crumbling at the end of the cut. For my use, I just slowed down toward the end of the cut and that seems to work just fine. I'm looking forward to trying it on pepperoni.

We had another cheese slicer and it went walk about at some point...not sure where...but we needed another and shopping on Amazon turned up this Boska model. We liked the rating and we very much liked the one piece stainless construction.Ordered it and have been nothing but pleased with the purchase since getting it. We've used it on alot of different block cheeses and every has slice every one without issue. As expected, it is easy to clean and we're using it quite a bit with great results every time.I sort of wish it had a little more heft...it's really very light, but my wife loves the weight. In any case, it does what it's supposed to do and does it very well. Construction is excellent and despite the light weight it is not at all flimsy, but quite solid when using it...not too much flex at all.Very happy with this purchase and would order again without reserve.

Works well. Cuts cheese but it is hard to cut hard cheese with this cutter. The blade is sharp

This is the best cheese slicer ever! I am not someone who usually spends a lot on things like this but I recently started eating a particularly delicious cheese and wanted a quality knife to slice it with so I did a bit of research before getting a flimsy cheap one. This slicer totally lives up to the hype in the reviews that I had read. It’s one smooth, solid piece of stainless steel. I love this because there are no divots for cheese or whatever to get in that would be hard to clean out later. It’s thicker than other cheese slicers I’ve used in the past so it doesn’t bend if you put pressure on it when using it. The edge that cuts is serrated and sharp so it makes a smooth perfect slices without you having to fight with it. You can also change how thick or thin you’d like the cheese sliced by adjusting the amount of pressure you put on the knife.Honestly there is no downside to this slicer. If I was forced to choose one it would be that once you get down to the bottom of the cheese and it’s about 1/2 inch thick you aren’t able to slice it much thinner. Really that’s just because there isn’t really a way to hold cheese that’s pretty much flat on a board or plate while slicing it so it’s not the slicers fault. I’m kind of reaching. Basically this is the best gift I ever bought myself. It’s under $20, sharp, useful, not bad to look at, so far indestructible and easy to clean.If you’ve got cheese that’s worth slicing you might as well splurge and get this. 5 stars!

I love this slicer, my parents had one similar that's about 40 years old and it still works great. Slices the cheese in just the right size, thickness etc.
