this thing is a beast - well it was
update 04/26/2021 batter will not hold charge longer than 2-3 weeks. trying to get a replacement is turning out to be a chore, will update the review when i get it replaced. amazon is not making it easy Original review: original battery died after 2 years in my 4runner. ok fine, the fridge, compressor and lights didn't help any. put this in and wow!!! truck starts faster, remotes have more range, things just work faster and better. plenty of power for the fridge, don't have to worry about it shutting down now. I was thinking about running dual batteries, but for now at least I don't think I will have to. side note to Toyota, why not just use a battery like this in the factory? it really is just that good

Excellent battery!
This is my second one and I put them to hard use. My first lasted 8 years and was still good but changed it just because of the demands I have. If you treat this right you can easy get 10 years and lots of power. Edit: So now itโs 2025 purchased my second one in 2019. So itโs 6 years old I run a lot of off road lights, mainly I have a stereo system pulling about 2,000 watts Iโm using daily. And I just measured the resting voltage after 24 hrs. Basically telling me my battery is about 70% of its life. I consider that pretty good. One thing I thing people donโt understand is AGM batteries want/need to be charged at a higher voltage. I have done the big 3 on my 4Runner so itโs getting 14.4v. Many factory systems charge at or under 13.9v. Another thing to keep in mind if youโre going to put it on a charger make sure itโs got enough amps. My first Odyssey I abused and killed it several times plus only having a 1amp charger was bad for it and it still lasted me 8 years. Mainly died off because my alternator failed and I completely drained the battery a few times close together to get moved while the alt was not working. But it actually still worked and passed a load test but I could tell it was about to go. But that was 8 years of hard use. My stock alternator is putting out about 140 amps and my stereo pulls that much. So essentially means Iโm relying on the battery to keep the power up on my stereo. This thing battery has to be giving me 50 amps or maybe more? Because my alt is at best leaving me with 80 amps after what the vehicle needs to run with the fans going and whatever. My voltage with my stereo full volume never drops below 13.2v. Point is I feel itโs pretty impressive, Iโm actually at the point of needing to add a second battery with ongoing upgrades and to give my stereo the full power. But this one hangs in there still after all these years. As you can see in picture, I have 0 gauge running to two amps and some 4 gauge running lights/power distribution.

Odyssey battery
Failed after 3 days (mebbe too cold outside), no response for a exchange or refund. I did try to charge it but the digital readout declared battery dead. Just an expensive paperweight. The Wally World batteries are a better option.

Fantastic batteries, only brand I use for Jeep Wranglers
***The size โ34R-PC1500-Aโ DOES fit a 2012-2018 Jeep JK Wrangler. We have them in a 2015 and a 2016 (unsure on the 2007-2011 wranglers) We get a lot of temperature fluctuation, 100ยฐin late summer, -20ยฐ and below in winter and they always start. Good amount of CCA. Great for accessories like a winch, auxiliary lights etc. These are expensive, but Iโve gotten sick of lower quality batteries in extreme climates. These are the only batteries I use with our Jeep wranglers, and Iโve been using Oddessyโs for nearly a decade. One of my batteries is nearly 8 years old (2004 wrangler) and works perfectly. The others are 3 years old and running strong as well. These are AGM batteries so take care to not drain them, and Iโve been repeatedly told to confirm they are charged before starting the vehicle or it can damage them (reduce charge capacity permanently).

Phenomenal Battery!
This battery is absolutely fantastic - dropped it into my 2002 Infiniti Q45 and every bell and whistle seemingly performs like new once again. Despite size and weight, installation was a breeze. Did not require any adapters or spacers for my application. In the last four years Iโve had two Optima Yellow Tops go dead. This is my first experience with an Odyssey battery and I am thoroughly pleased. Lots of power, reliable, very capable. I hope to have this battery for many years!

Best battery you can buy for a JEEP
Excellent quality, long lasting and built tough. This baby runs a warn winch, fridge freezer and electronics on my jk rubicon. Its expensive but well worth the piece of mind to have the best battery money can buy. Highly recommend it, i have abused this battery and it keeps coming back for more. Make sure its charged with a agm charger and not your alternator to get it fully charged. Alternators are made to maintain not recharge deeply discharged batterys. It will last longer as well.

Great battery
I upgraded my battery in my 2019 Toyota 4runner. This battery was what most folks upgrade to once they oem dies. One thing to note, Iโd also purchase the spacer that odyssey sells.

My Odyssey battery lasted 8 years
I just traded it in as a core charge for a new one last week. I had it in my 3000gt which was only driven summers. I tried to keep it on a trickle charger over winters but there were a few times where I had let it die enough so that the car wouldn't start. I'd put a normal trickle charger on it and it would always come back to life. Eventually I bought a battery minder charger that is specific for Odyssey batteries. I let it desulfate for a few days and it was never the same. Next time I let it get too low it wouldn't come back. If your car has a draw or you don't drive it often this may not be the battery for you unless you keep it on a trickle charger. Also for some reason all of their stickers on the top have a crease in them. My original battery did, my new one does, the one I run in my other car does. I even had them send me a replacement sticker for one that got chewed up from a battery tie down. It came with the same crease folded over in an envelope (not even a straight fold). You'd think for a $200-300 battery they could make the top decal look perfect.
