The holes are real and would make your foot wet if submerged, add would the open back of the clog.

Are these the roomy fit?

It would depend on whether you're a half size or a full size since they only come in full sizes. If you normally wear a size 9 for example then a size 9 should comfortably fit without being too tight.

Look at men’s shoes for correct sizes for men. Look at the tag.

How warm are they? I would like to use them year round but am worried they will be to hot during the summer.

They are very warm to use for the winter. With socks your feet stay nice and warm. I would not really them for the summer. Unlined for the summer.
