LEGO City Police 60047 Police Station

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 6 year old after MONTHS of him begging for it every time we went shopping. He was so excited when he tore off that wrapping paper and saw it! Although it's a great set and he absolutely loves it, I do think it's too complicated for a newly turned 6 year old (luckily mine has an awesome almost 8 year old brother to help him). Between the two of them, it took a few days to assemble everything, but they did it without adult help! It's home is on a shelf in their bedroom, but they get it down frequently to play with it. Which, by the way, I think is great. They have about 4,087 Lego sets (maybe exaggerating a little, but they have a ton!). This is one of only a few that I've witnessed them actually playing with after it's built. They both love it!

My five year old son got this from Santa and he literally worked on it for hours everyday until it was finished. We'd have to coax him out of his room for mealtimes and breaks. Now I can't say for sure if this is a good thing or not but he was obviously obsessed and engaged with building it. All in all the set is cool and comes with a lot of fun stuff including prison cells with potties. There's a cool observation tower, a helicopter, a motorcycle and a vehicle or two. It comes with a lot of parts and we found it for a fantastic price on Amazon just before Christmas :) It was retailing for $125 at the big toy store and we got it for $40 less so keep your eyes open for a good deal unless you like throwing away money.

My son loves all things Legos, including the building blocks, books, games, television shows, and movies. As a matter of fact, he just had his sixth birthday a couple of weeks ago, and every item on his birthday wishlist was of the Lego brand. This set, the Lego City Police Station was at the very top of his list. He absolutely LOVES it! He, his dad, and his sister had a blast building it, and now that it's done he loves playing with it. As a parent, I love Legos too. They are a great creative outlet for kids, keeps them entertained, and bolsters their imagination!

Fantastic! What's not to love about lego toys other than the cost of plastic building blocks. However, the joy on my eight year old son's face on Christmas morning made it all worth it. Thank goodness Santa came through, and Amazon with their quick shipping. My son spread out the project over two days and loved putting every single item together. We have threatened to use "kragle" on this one, but he is so excited about this police station that it may stay put together for a little while. He loves it!

WOW! My son received this for his 6th birthday and absolutely loved it. I did have to help him a little with the building - for a 6 year old, it will probably require some help - but together we did it (mostly him building and me only as a guide). The overall built product is a little smaller than I had expected, but he really loves it and now plays with it all the time. I think it is nice to find a toy that he can build and also enjoy playing with after the "construction" is complete. True to Lego style - this is an excellent product with really cool features!

I purchased this set and I am very glad that I did. This is a very detailed set. It took about a day and 1/2 to put together. I had to take time out to go to work other wise it would have been less. It has a lot of detail to it. For me the more detail to a set and the more pieces to it is what I look for. I love a challenge I would recommend this set for anyone that likes a challenge in a Lego set.

My 5 year old really likes this, it was a Christmas gift. Watching the price on Amazon since then, it's been all over the board. We paid $75 in early December, 2014. Anyway, my one big issue is that it's hard to push the three building sections together. If you're not careful the building sides will collapse instead of go together, whether I'm trying it or my 5 year old. He's gotten many hours from it, both building and now playing with it and really likes it. It's especially cool that the windows come out. Still, I'm a bit tired of getting out the directions to help put it back together.

Got this as a gift for my son and he LOVES it. He was awestruck by the detail and couldn't believe this set came with a coffee maker, water cooler and coffee cups. Replay value with this set is high too. He loves to take these apart and put them back together and he has the ability to reconfigure the second or third time around. I prefer the LEGO CITY line to the themed sets as well as they won't date themselves as easily.

My 10 yr old boy and almost 4 yr old girl both get so much entertainment from this set. A lot of nice little pieces in this.
