Marginal price difference is worth every penny for the quality!!
Well, I am thoroughly impressed with this blower. It fit my Majestic 36BDVRRN PERFECTLY. Lined up with the studs present under the firebox including the fan speed control knob. Took about 5 minutes to install, and another 2-3 minutes to find the spot that heated up fastest to fire up the blower (right below the pilot light was warm to begin with, but maintained over 90ยฐF, so it didn't turn off after testing). Right in the center seemed to be the best to allow for ample warm up, and shut off after about 10 minutes after turning the fire off. Literally a set it in, tighten the wingnuts, and plug it in operation. A little loud on high, but if you really needed the heat it would be a compromise that would be acceptable (or wanted to roast marshmallows inside ๐) and can be easily tuned down after the room is heated if that's what you are using it for. I just wanted to utilize more of the heat output of the fireplace versus just radiant heat, and it quickly heated the entire lower level, minus rooms with doors shut, of appx.1300 sq. ft. in a matter of minutes. I found about ~60% fan speed to kick out plenty of air to warm the room, without cooking yourself while lounging in front of it, and was barely louder than the white noise in the house already (kind of like an oscillating type fan in the summer set to medium). Great quality, real ball bearings for smooth, rattle free operation, and extremely happy with my purchase. When the already equipped blower on one of the other floors eventually fails, I will definitely replace with the appropriate model from this company. Thank you FirePlace Blowers Online for a great product!

Excellent product, easy install
Great product, would buy again. Installed in about 5-10 minutes into the already existing support areas in the fireplace. No electrical knowledge is needed for install, and is secured with 4 wing nuts that screw on to the already existing screws that are installed from the factory. Very effective and dispersing heat, even at low speeds. The temp sensor, which is magnetically attached to the fire box bottom, triggers at 120 degrees F and shuts off at 90 degrees F, so it is pretty automatic. I do have to say that it takes some time for the fire place housing where the sensor sits to reach 120 degrees, but actually that's a good thing- would rather have warm air blow instead of cold air. Motor runs quiet at low speeds, but is a little louder at high speed, but not unreasonably, and within acceptable tolerances. I would buy this blower again, however, I think the price is a little too high. I would like to see the product sell for around 60-80 dollars, instead of the ~ $120 is sells for on Amazon. It should also be noted that this is an after-market blower, not the Majestic blower from the factory, but I don't think that there is or will be a difference.

Factory fit for Vermont Castings
Fits perfect and works like a charm for my Vermont castings see-thru fireplace. I donโt think the instructions that came with it were helpful, but itโs literally a bolt-on install. There are great videos online to show how to install this. I DID have to remove the lower louvre cover completely to have enough clearance to get the blower in, but after that everything went smoothly. Took 30 minutes total, accounting for 20 minutes to get the louvre cover off and back on.

This blower is a wonderful investment!
I am a 53 year old woman who gets great satisfaction out of learning things that were traditionally left to the men. This is one of those examples of a job that a woman may fear. Fear not! There are only two wires to connect and it is rather intuitive to see where they go but the instructions show you. Be sure your power is off although I tried to power down at my breaker box and couldn't find the one to the fireplace switch so I did it anyway. The switch was off, of course.) Cleaning the area under the fireplace box before you start is helpful too. Here's what you need to know to make this work for you: 1. take a picture of your fireplace model and serial number 2. go to a local fireplace store where they also sell parts and service 3. obtain the make/model number of the blower that is suitable for your fireplace. (you may also do this online with a Google search but I wanted to talk to the pros to be sure.) 4. Get pricing from the store (this blower was around $350 through the store I went to and installation was another $150 to $200 on top of that) 5. Be sure you have an outlet behind the vented lower door where you find your pilot light nob, etc. 6. Look for screws sticking out of the back of the bottom of the fireplace area where the blower will be installed. These are your mounting screws that you put the blower on and use the wingnuts to attach it. 7. Plug a lamp, space heater or hairdryer into the outlet to test it for electricity. If it does not turn on, stop here because you need to hire an electrician before you can proceed. If your small appliance turns on, proceed to next steps. 8. look for the blower with the model number on Amazon. Compare reviews and prices I purchased this blower for my Majestic brand fireplace. The blower arrived in the mail nicely packaged. 9. I went to youtube to search for this model blower installation videos and found a few. This model does NOT have adhesive velcro on it. You can buy it at the Dollar Tree for a buck if you really want some. With the wing nuts you really don't need it unless there are no mounting screws already protruding from the back of the unit. The youtube videos I found did not address mounting the blower on the screws with the wing nuts for some reason. In my opinion, wing nut mounting would be preferred so that you don't inadvertently get the sticky velcro strips stuck in the wrong position. 10. Mount the fan in the position as shown in the videos. 11. Mount the dial on the protruding screws on the bottom of your unit. Plug the wires into the blower motor. 12. Plug the dial into the outlet. 13. Position the magnet and sensor on the ceiling of the floor of the fireplace centered. 14. Turn the dial on and turn it up. 15. Turn on your fireplace. 16. Depending on the position of the sensor, the fan will kick on in about 10-17 minutes. If it is on low you may not hear it but you can feel the heat coming out the top. You can shine a flashlight on it to see it spinning if you are not sure. Adjust the dial so that the noise from the blower is at a level that is tolerable to you for your use. The highest speed is a bit annoying especially if you watch tv in the room where the fireplace is located. This whole process took about 45 minutes or so including watching youtube. The install itself was about 20 minutes. The hardest part was how tight everything is under there. Getting the wing nut on behind the pilot knob and mechanisms was a pain and my neck and back were slightly sore when I was done. I had a manicure the day before (shellac) and you wouldn't know I was doing this type of work when I was done. So, horray to all the women who don't shy away from these things. You can do it! And, this saved me about $350+ doing it myself. :) The only reason I gave the overall rating 4 stars was because they had no video on the product page and because the printed instructions could include more details about the wing nut mounting, etc. But otherwise, a great addition to your fireplace to add heat to your home and reduce your heating bill. Good luck!

Empire Fireplace Ownerโs Rejoice
Wow! I own an Empire fireplace and the blower went out. My unit utilizes a magnetic attachment system for the blower unit and the rheostat. Also, the blower motor is on the opposite side of the blower unit than this replacement. After reading the reviews of this unit and after pricing a replacement at more than double the cost I decided to give this a try. I removed the magnets from the original unit and superglued them to this one. There was enough electrical cord to accommodate the motor being on the opposite side. When I ignited the fireplace I was disappointed that the motor didnโt start. Then I realized it is so much quieter than the original I didnโt hear it on low speed. The quality is excellent, it moves a lot of air, and it is amazingly quiet. Easy to install. Nice to purchase a product like this where people really made an effort to provide a quality product.

Excellent Quality Easy to Install
Pre wired, very easy to install. The quality of this assembly is far superior to others you find on line. While the cost is much higher than the low cost versions, it is still half the cost of the OEM and you have a reliable product that will last. Two comments - if it is not working at first, check the dial - it comes turned off - a small click turning the dial to the right puts the fan in the highest speed. Second, if you find you need to move the magnetic temperature sensor that is attached to a hotter location on the fire box - prior to moving it, you should first unplug the assembly from the outlet. The terminals are insulated, but you can still get a shock (ask me how I know). Last note - the dimensions are for the fan - the mounting plate is larger then what is shown. Overall - very well packaged, excellent product and perfect fit. Worth the additional cost.

Easy to install. Audible above 60% speed. Doesn't move much air.
This blower kit is fairly simple to install and came with everything needed to do so. However, the output of air is not very much, especially if you don't want it to be clearly audible. At speeds above about 60% it emits a rasping hum that I don't like because I don't associate that sound with a fireplace. Holding your hands in front of the exhaust vent on the fireplace you can barely feel the air pressure at 50% speed. That said, I do believe it circulates the air better, as the room heats up faster. A quick tip: If you have a power outlet under your fireplace, check that it is actually working. I had to have an electrician friend help me get mine working as whoever built my house 13 years ago apparently never bothered to connect the right wires inside the switch that turns the fireplace on. There was literally no power coming to the outlet.

A PERFECT AIR BLOWER FOR MY MAJESTIC, TWENTY YEAR OLD FIREPLACE.
I was so worried about purchasing the right blower for my gas fireplace. This blower seemed to be made specifically for my fireplace. It fit perfectly and installation took five minutes. I can't wait for the temperature to drop so I can use it.

Awesome kit!
So impressed! Super fast to install! I was worried that I'd have to drill holes in the metal and it was going to be hard to get my hands in there, let alone a drill, but the unit came with magnets on the back, so it was pretty much 'plug and play!' As well, the fan works well and has a variety of speeds. Definitely don't find it too loud either!

Awesomeness!
I'm very pleased with my purchase, I think you'd be hard pressed to find similar quality for the asking price of this unit. Easy installation and a very well built product. It fit very easily in my Vermont Casting free standing gas fireplace. The variable speed control and thermostat are very effective and correspond completely with my unit. Other's like this on Amazon.ca are not of the same quality as this model/kit. These units have ball bearings on the output/fan arbor, others use bushings. To put it quite simply, you wouldn't get very far on a tank of gasoline if your car utilized bushings rather than bearings, in all of it's components, not just the wheel hubs! Just common sense. I found that Jason, who is one of the owners of this American based family run buisness to be of the highest calibre in his field. His knowledge is stellar, even before you decide to purchase one of his units, send him an email and you'll find no better customer service experience greater than his. Straight forward and to the point, this man knows his industry/fireplace blowers. When it comes to the safety of your home, especially a fireplace, only trust the professionals in said field. A house fire is a very serious issue, stay away from the cheaper models. And yes, I'm a verified customer of their products, not a representative. Outstanding performance and customer service, well done!

Great product, service and price. Good on them.
Easy install, product is exactly as described and can runs reasonably quiet. With the speed control you're able to dial the fan down so it's barely noticeable... Moves lots of air if you don't mind a bit if noise. Great service from the vendor as well. It seemed as if the sensor was sticking closed so the fan would stay on all the time, I called them and within 2mins was promised a new sensor assembly would be mailed out that afternoon. It seems to be functioning properly now but I'm still going to change it in case there is an issue. I would definitely recommend this to others. As in other comments, make sure there is power going to the receptacle under your fireplace... I had the unpleasant surprise of realizing it was not wired after installing everything. $50 in material later I had it wired myself back to the breaker panel and all was well again. I was quoted $200 from an electrian to have this done.

Excellent Product
I recently bought two of these for my two fireplaces. The kit comes with everything you need to get the blower installed and running. The ball bearing upgrade is worth it and the blower spins perfectly stable at full speed. Keep in mind any blower will create noise but eliminating all the wobble and vibration points makes a big difference. They include high density foam pads on the mounting points to eliminate vibration. The rheostat has lots of adjustability if you want to turn the blower down to minimize air noise. It really does make a big difference in extracting the heat from the firebox and the no hands thermostat is perfect, it turns the blower on at 120F and off at 90F. I found the side of the firebox was the best place to position the thermostat as the bottom of the box didn't get hot enough to trigger the blower. It came very well packed with clear instructions. Highly recommend the kits from fireplaceblowersonline.

Perfect solution!
Recently completed a fireplace renovation and soon discovered that the new mantle was getting too hot. Did some researching and decided that a blower kit was the answer for the problem. Spoke to several fireplace shops around town and this kit was $100 less. Ordered the kit and received it a few days later. I was really impressed with the shipping time as I'm in Canada and Amazon told me it would take about 3 weeks. In reality it took about 5 days. The kit comes with very basic instructions which at first concerned me but turns out its a lot easier to install than I had expected. The whole process took me less than 5 minutes. Fired up the fireplace and a about 6-7 minutes later the fan kicked in. Checked the mantle and it was room temperature. Looks like the problem is solved and now the fireplace is far more efficient because the warm air is actually getting pushed into the room. I also like that it stays on until the fireplace has cooled right off again. I highly recommend and would definitely buy it again.
