1840's - 1860's Ladies Wrapper, Work-Dress, Morning Gown or Maternity Dress Pattern

Joann makes a huge effort to make her pattern user friendly, this one doesn't disappoint, another good pattern for all of us that try our best to be spot on in our jobs as docents.

I made two of these for our local community play The Christmas Carol. They did turn out, but the directions were very difficult to follow and the pattern pieces were mislabeled. If I hadn’t been sewing all my life I would not have been able to complete them. I still had to unpick many times and use my knowledge rather than the directions. However, they did turn out beautifully.

I'm almost finished making this. It's the first, well, anything that I've ever made using a pattern! For the most part, the directions are really easy to understand. There are a few spots where I was stumped, so I've approximated as best I can. I'm sure for someone more experienced, it won't be a problem. My dress is turning out beautifully though and I'm so excited to wear it!

It came very fast. Weeks before it was expected. I have my made the dress yet. But cutting instructions were easy to follow.
