Speedokote High Build Primer
Start off, I am a first time painter. This is my 1988 Suzuki Samurai. I chose Speedokote because of their reputation for great products. This by far is the best primer for a first time user. Was used with a Harbor Freight primer gun. Layed down very even. Three coats does the trick. Covers many imperfections. This product is thick, so I did use the Speedokote reducer 4:1. Sands very easy. I can not wait till I layed down my first coat of red on her. Speedokote, I would do a review on your red single stage paint if you send me some. Thanks 😊

Good primer.
This primer is pretty darn good for the price.. It is a little thick for HVLP gun with 4.0 tip so I thinned it 5% and used three coats.. It was still a good build thickness and was able to block sand with 600 grit, wet and it left a nice, smooth surface. It sands easily. So far after being painted, I don't see any shrinkage or dry back spots. It's been a month and so far so good.. I would have to say it's better than I thought it would be. For a user friendly primer at a cheaper price, I definitely recommend it!

FANTASTIC PRODUCT
I just painted a damaged steel side panel on a 2013 Vespa scooter. I’ve had to paint this poor thing over and over because if it’s left on the street it’s pretty much a guarantee that someone is going to try to steal it, in the process they knock it over and they give up because these things can’t be stolen easily what so ever. Especially with a griplpck, but I digress. I’ve used spray max 2k rapid primer filler in an aresol can before moving to the 3m accuspray hplv gun. With the spray gun I’ve used two different types of primer filler than were very expensive, but didn’t shoot as perfectly thick for an even, sandable build like this did. I like the activator they provide and also used a reducer which is optional. With reducer I had the best spray I’ve had yet (4th time repainting). Also I sprayed this on rust free bare metal. Done with the paint now and it just looks fantastic. Really really pleased with this primer and will absolutely NOT try any others again. You guys will love this stuff. There’s comments about how people sanded and got to bare metal too fast, I used 3 coats, block sanded with 180, lightly scuffed with a 320 grit, never saw metal! So, just use a few coats and If you’re worried about blending get yourself some bs12 from Sherman Williams! Magical stuff will blend after you are done clearing. So pleased!

Best product for the money
i use this primer a lot at home on my own stuff. i think its the best primer money can buy. i see some reviews saying its too thick. i spray it out of my SATA jet RP gun with a 1.3 inner head and needle. it lays down and sprays great. i recommend any speedo cote product to anyone. I've also used the clearcoat. That buffs nice and hold a beautiful shine.
