It Really Works! - Sizing Information Here
Information on sizing for U.S.A. Shoe Sizes: Size 1 - for Men's sizes 3.5-4.5 and Women's sizes 5-6 Size 2 - for Men's sizes 5.0-7.5 and Women's sizes 6.5-9 Size 3 - for Men's sizes 8.0-12 and Women's sizes 9.5-14 Received this item recently and have been using it for 4 nights (please see UPDATE below). The accompanying direction book does not adequately explain how to position this on the foot, you kind of have to figure it out on your own. The plastic toe-brace part goes over the toe, naturally--the velcro strapping is on the right size of the foot. Slip this on the foot in that position. Position the plastic piece around the big toe, then tighten the velcro strap on the right side of foot and position that strapping, velcroed piece underneath the foot. Sounds easy enough now; don't know why I had trouble with it at first. It's a sturdy item and gets that big right toe pushed over to the left enough to provide great comfort at night. Supposed to wear this during the day for 2 hours as well, but who can do that? Will hope it can do its' magic just wearing it at night for 7-8 hours or so. Will provide more info after a couple of months of using this item. Hope this helps. I was ready to return this item, but played with it long enough to get it to work as it should. Better directions would have been much appreciated. The company was very responsive and accommodating when I contacted them. UPDATE 6-21-13 - Been using this splint for 2 months and am having excellent results. Have been wearing it every night for minimum 7 hours, but not during the day at all. Big toe is slowly but surely straightening out, although it may take many more months for it to become normal. (It took years of wearing the incorrect size shoes and high heels to create the bunion, so I'm hopeful that eventually, my toe will be happy.) A straighter toe has also affected my gait and ability to climb stairs more easily. Very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

Very Good Product - see update
This is a very worthwhile investment, I believe you get what you pay for. And since my budget is tighter than most I shop carefully. Although it seems straight forward, this product was a bit tricky to figure out how to wear it correctly. In fact, I had to come back to this review and edit it once I figured out I was wearing it incorrectly. I thought the strap was too short initially. Turns out I was wrapping it around my foot in the wrong direction. The velcro should actually make contact on the underside of the device - between the foot and the device. I was trying to make the velcro stick together on the topside of the device and thought the strap wasn't long enough. I liked it before when I thought the fit could've been more generous. Then I discovered my error, and I liked it even more; coming back to edit my review and upgrading my rating to five stars instead of four. I'm planning to buy another splint for my left foot. Side note: Everything I've read about bunions states they develop because of ill-fitting, and pointy-toed shoes. Not true! I've been careful to wear shoes that fit me well and still I've developed bunions. It did take me fifty years to develop them; whereas my mother wore horrible shoes and had bunions by the time she was in her twenties. Go figure. UPDATE: I just spoke with a podiatrist who told me that any splint for bunions does nothing. So much for money well spent. The key is arch support. Bio-mechanics, the way our feet bend and how we stand on them is key. I've always stood more on the inside of my soles, I even had to wear a special support as a child to force me to walk on the outer sole. By wearing shoes wide enough for the bunion, and supporting the arch we can ease the damage done. So now I'm off to buy good arch supports and weed out all of my shoes that work the ball of my foot too hard.

Double check sizing first
The only indication of sizing was on someone's review. I did not find a chart for sizes mentioned by the seller. I used the reviewers sizing and ordered a size 2. I wear an 8.5 women's shoe US. The splint was too large. I don't know how much h smaller the size 1 would be, but I'm going to say buy a size down and hopefully that's better. I have to so international shipping if I decide to return it. The quality is very good. This is to sleep in not for inside a shoe. I've worn one for years and it's gives some relief for a bunion, but don't expect it to straighten your toe. I wish Dr Scholls still made a splint.

Working great so far
My bunion was in the early stages so I'm glad that someone pointed it out to me. I was wondering, duh, how come my toenail seemed to be headed off in a different direction. I wore this splint every night for about 3 weeks, ok, sometimes I forgot. And made serious progress, then I didn't wear it for a week on vacation. When I came home I put it on again and the toenail is pointing in the right direction, yay! Look on youtube for stretching exercises too. Don't listen to doctors who will readily tell you that a bunion can't be stopped. That is pure BS. If you catch it early enough there is no way this splint will not help you. How can it not? I read up on bunions and it is due to the ligaments in your foot not being stretchy, or limber enough, to keep the toe pointing straight ahead. Totally due to wearing the wrong shoes, or shoes that are too small for you. I never wore pointy shoes, but since my feet keep growing, sometimes my shoes were too small. I could feel them impinging on my big toe. So, I've been wearing open-toe sandals since it's warm out, and wearing this thing at night and couldn't be happier with my progress. So there doctors!

Was looking for a little pain relief, got the antithesis...
I was hopeful this would help alleviate some of my pain. It did not! My optimism quickly dissolved. The splint does not securely stay where is it supposed to adding a great deal of added discomfort. Also the plastic digs in between the toes and only intensifies my current pain. So disappointed😔

Does not align toe, and fits poorly.
I got the correct size for my foot, but I don't think it is designed well for small feet either way. My big toe stays in the same place and it just kind of smashes the other four toes. Also, the hard plastic toe mold is fairly wide and sharp in the area between the big toe and second toe, and it pinches the nerves in my second toe to the degree that it is unwearable. I read the instructions and emulated the pictures as well as possible, but I think it's just a poor design and very uncomfortable. I am giving it two stars because it came as pictured and as described, but it is not the well designed medical device that I expected.

Use Patience and Stick with it.
I have had this almost a year. A few months back with my bunion feeling good, I got overconfident and stopped using it. The bunion pain came back. So now I am using it again while I am sleeping every night and the bunion pain is gone again. Do not listen to doctors that want to do surgery. That to me is more of a risk. At least if you stick with this and give it a chance, you can avoid problems later on. I paid 15.00 on Amazon for a used like new. I am waiting for Amazon to drop the price to 15 for a another used like new, so I an order as a backup. Maybe for writing this, Amazon will drop the price. Ha Ha! If you google bunion you can read for yourself what to do. I found bunion stretching exercises which I do 12 minutes a day.

Be patient and use it, it works!
First off, this is not some comfortable all day use aide. It is best worn to bed or while sitting and not walking around much. At first it hurts ...duh ...it's pulling things back to where they should be. Over time it does just that. Well worth the money and grateful for the aide.
