Crystal Clear Backseat camera for your car
I loved this “baby” car camera. I don’t have a baby, but I’ve used this to watch my dog in the back seat. This works very well! The camera’s picture quality is crystal clear. Setting up the camera the first time was pretty self-explanatory also. You charge the wireless camera with a supplied USB-C cable. Once charged, the system is ready to use. Plug the screen into the supplied cigarette lighter adapter or any other USB-A port in your vehicle and set the screen on your dashboard (there is an adhesive at the bottom to ensure it sticks). Finally press the on-button and it will pair with the wireless camera on its own. I’ve used it a number of times now, without having to recharge it, so I’m not sure how long exactly the camera lasts on a full charge, but it lasts many hours of usage from what I can tell. The carrying case is a nice touch that was of surprising quality also. I chose to mount the camera to the headrest using the elastic straps, however the other mount (see picture) for beneath the headrest did also fit in my Civic. I was happy with the different options I had and in general how everything was well thought out.

Cigarette smell on packaging
The item itself works as intended and had less cords than the other option we had. However, the reusable container it came in smelled sooo badly of cigarette smoke that it filled my car with that scent in the one day it was in there before I threw it away. It’s been a week and the smell is lingering still.

Don’t buy it
I used this for all of 3 weeks before it stopped working. The monitor won’t power on. I’ve tried everything and it won’t work. Waste of money. I couldn’t find the contact for their support team.

Better than expected
This Babyvue camera and monitor is much better than I thought it would be. It's design has been very well thought out. It comes with everything you would need for several different mounting configurations. They even included a screw driver that is magnetized to handle the tiny screws that you remove to change mounting options. The camera can be powered by a cigarette lighter plug or a USB plug so you can use it in different locations with a battery block. We camp a lot and I can see us taking the screen outside while the baby naps inside. All of this fits in the very nice carrying case that is included. This would make a great gift.

Almost perfect
Not completely wireless as the monitor needs to be plugged in however no cables needed for the camera. With that said the battery life on the camera itself is terrible. Lasted just shy of two days before needing to be recharged. Mind you I haven’t been driving continuously for that day and half. For the price I’d expect more.

Great Camera
Absolutely love this camera. Super easy install and has a easy access power button to turn the camera back on after the auto shut off. Not to mention the automatic nighttime camera shift and the quality is perfect. It also has a feature where you can add a second camera if you have several little ones or if you want to see the entire back seat as well as the baby. The display mounts right to the dash or you can mount it to your windshield if you prefer. Definitely recommend.

Babyvue Wireless Baby Car Monitor Fast Setup, 3X Zoom Car Baby Camera with HD1080P IR
Overview: This baby car monitor is a really useful upgrade if you want to keep an eye on a rear facing child without constantly turning around while driving. The wireless setup keeps things simple, and the dedicated screen gives you a clear view of the back seat without needing to rely on mirrors. Likes: The installation is quick and straightforward, which is great if you don’t want to deal with wiring through the vehicle. The display is large and clear enough to easily see what’s going on in the back seat while driving. Night vision works automatically and keeps the image visible even in low light. The camera positioning and zoom help you adjust the view so you can clearly see your child in the car seat. The wireless design also keeps the interior cleaner without cables running through the vehicle. Dislikes: The price is fairly high compared to simpler mirror based baby monitors. The screen takes up some dashboard space, which may require a bit of adjustment to find the best placement. Overall, it’s a convenient and well designed system that makes checking on a baby in the back seat much easier and safer while driving. The wireless setup and clear display make it a practical solution for parents who want better visibility without turning around. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars Amazing. Blew my mind and I’d buy it again without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 stars Really good. Works well and I’d happily recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars It’s fine. Nothing special, nothing terrible, just does what it should. ⭐⭐ 2 stars Below average. It kind of does the job, but I wouldn’t buy it again. ⭐ 1 star Absolute rubbish. Didn’t work properly, felt cheap, and I’d warn people away from it.

Excellent quality picture!
This is my second car camera by the brand BABYVUE, and I’m really happy with it. I highly recommend this for parents with little ones. We recently swapped all of our backseat mirrors for cameras, and wouldn’t go back! These are really easy to install, took a couple of minutes. You have the option between using the Velcro strap or the spring loaded piece that goes between the metal prongs on the headrest, for the camera. Personally, on our Buick encore we prefer the Velcro straps. Both options give a really nice snug fit. The monitor attaches to the inside front window. Yes, this is a “wireless” monitor, but it’s not truly wireless because you have to charge the camera with a USB-C charger. I kind of prefer just having it plugged in constantly and not worried about a battery dying in the middle of the night. Calling it wireless seems like a bit of a stretch. Overall, I’m really happy with it. The price may seem a little bit high at $189.99 Canadian, but totally worth it. It’s made car rides a lot less stressful, especially with a rear-facing baby. This thing is awesome and belongs on everyone’s baby registry!

One of the best units that we have tried. More than just a car monitor.
Using a mirror to monitor your child works okay but does have its limitations in the angle and also at night. This baby view camera allows you to do so much more and allows you to easily see your child at any time during your drive and even at home or visiting friends and relatives. The monitor and camera set up incredibly easy. Basically, the monitor connects to the stand which then gets plugged in to your your lighter port. You are instantly on. As soon as you plug in the camera and turn it on, the monitor will recognize the camera and as long as the positioning is fine, you can see your child while driving. It is that easy. What's even better, The camera has an internal battery that's built in, so you don't even have to have the camera plugged in for it to work. As long as there is a charge to the battery, the monitor will show you what the camera sees. The beautiful thing about that then, is that the camera isn't limited to just the car. We have easily taken it into our house, put the monitor into one room and the camera in another and we can easily see what is taking place. Place. That means when you're out visiting friends, on a trip, or visiting grandparents, you can use this as a portable baby monitor. So now you're not buying two different devices but just using this one. The camera can be either connected with a strap or else with a bar that goes in between the two headrests bars. We have tried a couple other models and this is the one that I prefer because of how easy it connects to your car and allows you to do multiple positions. The case said it comes with as well is very protective and stores nicely. All in all, this is a very nice unit. It allows you to monitor your child during the daytime and the night time with great clarity of screen and ease of use. You can use it both in the car and out of the car which saves you money for buying a second device that does the same thing.

Great visibility for the backseat
I spent way too much time messing with shaky mirrors that never gave me a clear angle. This setup was a total relief for solo drives with my newborn. The 1080P screen is crisp, and being able to see if she is actually sleeping or just quiet makes a huge difference in my anxiety levels. The installation felt like a win because I didn't need to tuck wires into the headliner or worry about anything dangling. It is nice that the camera runs on battery, which keeps the backseat area professional and clean. The infrared night vision switches on by itself, so I don't have to fumble with buttons when it gets dark during late afternoon trips. The portable case is a smart inclusion, too, since I swap it between our SUV and sedan often. My only frustration is that the monitor itself still requires a power cable to plug into the dash. I was hoping for something completely cordless, but you do have to manage one wire for the display. If you are a nervous driver who hates turning around to check on the baby, this is a solid solution.

A total game-changer for solo car rides with a newborn
As a parent who spent way too much time adjusting a shaky plastic headrest mirror only to see nothing but a blur, this Babyvue wireless monitor has been a massive relief. The 1080P clarity is actually impressive. It’s crisp enough to see if my little one is truly asleep or just playing "the quiet game." Being wireless is the real "Who/What/Why" here; I didn't have to spend an hour tucking cables into the headliner or worry about my toddler pulling on a stray wire from the backseat. It keeps the car looking clean and professional, which I really appreciate. I found a great "Technical Catch" during the first evening drive: the infrared night vision is completely automatic. You don't have to fumble with buttons while driving as it gets dark; the screen just transitions to a clear grayscale view so you can still check on them without turning on the harsh dome light. While the battery management is smart, if you’re planning a long road trip, make sure to give it a full charge the night before. Even though it syncs with the car's start-stop, the "30-day" claim really depends on how often the screen is actually active and how much you use the 3X zoom. I’m giving this 5 stars because the peace of mind it offers is worth every penny. It’s rare to find a baby gadget that is truly "plug and play," but this only took me about two minutes to set up. It even comes with a nice portable storage case, which made it incredibly easy to swap between my SUV and my husband’s sedan when we switched cars for the weekend. If you’re a nervous driver like me who hates looking away from the road, this is the perfect solution.
