Good Replacement for Old Battery -- First one arrived DOA, but was Remedied Immediately
Item as described. Was truly plug and play for my old Q550LF. However, first battery arrived DOA. Would not start or take a charge, even after left overnight. Replacement was sent immediately without question and arrived within three days. Replacement battery working fine. Provides about 5 hours of charge, depending on screen brightness and workload. Stock battery gave me a bit more than that (when it was new), but I have no complaints.

Resurrected a dead 8 year old laptop
I had an old Asus Q550LF that hadn't been powered on in years. Manufactured in 2013. The battery didn't just not hold a charge: it basically didn't exist. I wanted to use the laptop as a virtual machine host for screwing around with IT stuff for certifications, so I went in on this little nugget.Pretty solid battery. I haven't used it enough to see whether the capacity rings true, but it's right at the 4,000 mAh that the OEM battery is. I wouldn't be surprised if the OEM battery is "nicer," but I'm basically throwing a Hail Mary to squeeze more utility out of something old enough to ride bikes after dark.It actually comes with a neat little spatula and a surprisingly high quality Phillips head screwdriver. Old school acrylic. You're not getting any extra battery life, you're getting a new battery for cheap. It takes a delicate hand to install, but I'm coming from car and gun stuff and not disassembling/reassembling crusty old laptops. But, all you need is a tiny Torx driver to pull all the visible screws. A tip: To get the bottom plate off, I had to pop open the DVD drive to get it started. Don't try to pry it. If that doesn't work, wrap some tape sticky-side-out around your fingers and try to give it some pulls.Update after a week's use: This gives me a solid four, maybe five hours of battery life doing light office activities on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. It's obviously going to depend on your brightness and load.

Poor performance.
I bought this battery in May 2025, and just got around to installing it on January 1, 2026. I followed the instructions to use the battery till it hit 2%, then charge to 100%. The battery doesn't last as long as my old battery, and when it gets below 50% charge, it drains really fast. I have purchased a few aftermarket batteries and understand that they usually don't work as well as the originals, but this one is really disappointing. I just went to Dell and purchased a new battery from them, figuring that would be cheaper in the long run versus the hit-and-miss of trying to find a good aftermarket replacement.

New battery saved a Bose speaker!
It worked out great! I was about to discard the old Bose speaker, glad I tried a new battery first. Good as ever!

Works well
Not quite OEM equivalent in terms of battery energy storage, but basically 95% of the way there. In terms of fitment, this battery worked 100%. So all in all, I'd say for the cost, this is a perfectly cromulent solution, and I recommend. Time will tell if its longevity is close enough to OEM too, but for now, its a good aftermarket solution at a better than fair price.

Best
It definitely worth it
