Weleda Salt Toothpaste, 2.5-Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2)

I have a lot of problems with sore gums and tongue because of the foods I eat. When I need a real mouth health boost, this is the best product I have found. It cleans and sooths and after a couple days use, my mouth feels healthy again. I can't do without this product.

I am in love with this stuff! Did you know that stress and heredity can cause your body to produce more plaque? I've gotten to know this pretty well, and due to some fairly stressful years, have really struggled with keeping my gums healthy. In conjunction with a kick-*** electric toothbrush, Plax pre-brush rinse, and this toothpaste, my teeth have never felt cleaner. After the very first time I used it, I was shocked at how clean my teeth felt (and I'd used hydrogen peroxide/baking soda toothpaste, too). It was really remarkable, and I rarely use anything else. Yes, the taste is a little unusual to someone born/bred in the US on Colgate, Crest, etc. However, I've gotten used to it pretty quickly, and I prefer it to my previous go-to's, so I'll be stocking up on this and recommending it to my husband and friends, too. I've only been using it for a month or so, and my next cleaning is in 5-6 months, so I'm really excited to see if the small trouble spots I've been focusing on are at normal levels now. If the news is as good as I suspect it'll be, I'll update my review. Highly recommend!

I've been a long user of various Weleda products and I've always loved their choice of ingredients, packaging, and the efficacy of their line.When I saw many unwanted ingredients in my usual toothpaste (Tom's of Maine) I decided to make a switch. This toothpaste is certainly unlike any I've seen around, so I read some reviews and decided to take a chance on it.I am so delighted by this product! The salty flavor is nice, in my opinion, and not as salty as, say, the ocean. It tastes as "bad" as those toothpastes made with a lot of baking soda.I love the minty flavor that mixes with it and the feeling that I'm really washing my teeth and gums. Better yet, afterwards I don't have any intense after-taste like I would with a conventional toothpaste (you know, that flavor when you taste orange juice after and it's all gross.)One of my favorite aspects is that my teeth feel clean for much longer than they do with other toothpastes; I don't really get that "fuzzy" tooth feeling.If you're sensitive to salty flavors, perhaps go with a different paste. As for me, I like the salty flavor and how it seems to cleanse like the ocean.

I can never go back to mainstream toothpastes anymore. Yes, this doesn't taste great on the first try but you get used to it. Yes, it does not foam but you also get used to it. My teeth are cleaner and stay cleaner longer with this toothpaste. My dentist always comments on how clean my teeth are. I haven't gotten any cavities since using this even though it doesn't have fluoride. I swear by it.

What can I say about this product other than I love it! It emrealky gives a clean feeling to my teeth and also salt is a great additive if you have an inflamed gums. I generally only use this after lunch as there is no Fluoride in it. Fluoride gets an unnecessary bad rap and any dentist will tell you it’s very important to avoid cavities. I used a fluoride toothpaste in the morning and evenings. I wish they would create a fluoride option.

This review is for the Weleda Salt Toothpaste (Blue 2.5 Fl. Oz. tube). After experiencing the salty taste for the first time, I placed this toothpaste in our guest bathroom for occasional use, which was never. One day we ran out of toothpaste, I noticed that the sensitivity in one of my teeth disappeared after three days of using this toothpaste. The tooth has been bothering me for about a week and I was just about to make an appointment with my dentist for fear of cavity. I now use this toothpaste regularly every morning and use another toothpaste in the evenings. It has been more than two months; I had a tooth cleaning in the meantime. The sensitivity in the tooth has not returned. I had the hygienist conduct a sensitivity test, NO pain. Not sure if this was a lucky coincidence. There is no scientific reason on why I use this in the morning, it has just become my normal routine. I now do not notice the salty taste in my moth even though I am sensitive to salt.

Weleda makes a great salt toothpaste! Yes, it tastes "salty" - BUT it cleans your teeth better than most other toothpaste, plus it keeps gums free of problems. If you don't like the saltiness, just use it only a few days a week and use another brand you like on alternative days.Our dentist is very happy with the results.

I don't really know how one can describe toothpaste. It tastes pretty good for something called salt toothpaste (still not that great tasting but it could be a lot worse). It removes plaque well and keeps my mouth feeling clean for quite a while. Also, I thought I was only ordering one, so the price is much better than I thought, I was pleasantly surprised at getting two.

I've been looking for a decent non-fluoride toothpaste for a while and I've found this to be the best.It comes in a metallic tube, which gives it a rather substantial feeling.I was expecting the paste itself to be white, but it was a dark, translucent grainy paste. It doesn't taste too salty and it doesn't have that fake peppermint taste which most toothpastes have.This is definitely my favourite range of toothpastes; I've tried the Calendula toothpaste and it's pretty good, but it tastes mildly of liquorish, which I personally don't like.All in all, it's a very good toothpaste, and is priced similarly to most toothpastes, if you have sensitive teeth they also have a green one which is called Plant Gel toothpaste.I hope this was helpful to you.

Fantastic product , I work as a dental hygienist and have recommended this product for years to patients with multitude of mouth conditions .A patient who was suffering for years with burning mouth syndrome and under care of hospital started using this and her consultant started recommending it to her other patients after seeing results.Also good with chemo patients or just generally , sounds revolting but surprisingly refreshing ..bit like a Murray mint salty but minty, be aware has no fluoride so if having chemo will need to seek advice from dentist as dry mouth can result in higher risk of tooth decay in some cases .
